This actress was so wonderful as "Iris", on Another World. I know you were not supposed to like her character, but I did. She was one of the best daytime actresses ever!! I will always remember her, and always admire her talent. May God bless her. (I hope her family knows she is in the hearts of many.)

Becareful what you go searching for, you may just find what you are NOT looking for.. I'm so saddened. I watched Beverlee McKinsey as a high school teen when she started the Soap "Texas" and crossed over from Another World as Iris . I always thought that is one beautiful woman and I loved her voice, she could captivate a audiance and keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what she was up to next. When the romantic storyline of Alex Wheeler and Iris Carrington started, me and my girlfriends were hooked, we were going to marry our own Alex Wheeler and become Iris our selves...I know Ms. McKinsey perferred playing the part's of a evil queen, but her softer side of acting was the best part of her for me..I loved her romantic side of acting. Her acting skills were as sharp as a razor, she just really became that person and you clung to every action and word in the story. I don't know that I will search anymore of the Where are they now articles, because I feel like a arrow has pierced my years gone by teenage heart, but with all that being said, I found your memorial and it is absolutely beautiful and very well fitting for a wonderful actress Ms. Beverlee McKinsey, may she rest in peace.

As a little girl growing up on the farm, I remember everyday mom would stop whatever she was doing and the world would stop so she could watch Another World. I even remember Mac and Iris and Rachel. The memory of this wonderful actress will long be remembered by so many people like me that grew up with the show.

So sad to hear of your passing Beverlee. You made the part of Iris on Another World so believable. You will not be forgotten! Hilja

Hands down, Beverlee McKinsey was the best actress daytime has ever known. I loved her acting, grace, and - who could forget - that voice! It was a sad day when she left daytime but kudos to the Grand Dame for doing it her way.

I am Beverlee's biggest fan from Germany. I was hooked on her cast as Alexandra on Guiding Light and I was deeply depressed when Germany's tv stations suddenly stopped transmission of the series and there was no chance to watch Beverlee again. I have never seen such a great actress after that. Beverlee, a last sad good-bye from Germany!

I am Beverlee's absolutely biggest fan from Germany. I loved her as Alexandra on Guiding Light. I was in deep teariness when German's TV stations suddenly brought the transmission to an end. I was absolutely depressed that I never could watch her again. It was the best I have ever seen on tv. Beverlee - a sad last good-bye from Germany.

I remember as a college student that the late, great Nancy Marchand played a role for about a summer as a wheel-chair bound old wealthy friend of Iris Carrington. For that summer, Ms. Marchand , ever the old-money character she perfected on "Lou Grant" as Mrs. Pynchon, reigned in Ms. McKensey's more mercurial instincts....and died in a way that deeply affected Iris. The two of those pros going at It was divine. Richard

My best memories surrounded Iris Cory Carrington Wheeler on Another World and later on Texas. She was a phenominal actress who made Iris so believable as the needy tormented yet misunderstood character she developed into. My thoughts and prayers to her family.

I think Beverlee was phenomenal on Guiding Light as Alexandra. The soap has not been as good as it was when Beverlee and Michael Zaslow were part of the cast. May you rest in peace and always be remembered as an integral part of the Guiding Light family. Guiding Light should dedicate an entire episode to Beverlee McKinsey out of respect for herand for her numerous fans.

Beverlee, you were unbeatable as a villain in Soap Opera History. Your scenes with Doug Watson, Vicky Wyndham and Gretchen Oehler were remarkable. My heart goes out to the McKinsey family.

Ms McKinsey stole every scene she was in, no matter who else played in the scene opposite her. Viewers always knew they were in for a treat whenever she was on. Many years ago, she had a storyline on GL with a young guy who pretended to be her long lost brother. He was excellent. Their scenes were so breathtaking, I taped them. Haven't watched the tape in years, but I plan to do it soon. I met her once, also many years ago. She was a regal presence.

I grew up watching "Another World" with my grandmother. What a memorable performer, and consumate professional she was. Her scenes with Douglass Watson, and Vicky Wyndham are permenantly etched in my mind. I loved her in "Texas" as well, but her character changed by then, and didn't have the same ooomph. I was very saddened to hear of her death. She will be missed.

Beverlee was the very best of daytime. Another World and Guiding Light were fortunate to have her. No one before or since has matched her ability. Erika Slezak, Kim Zimmer, Elizabeth Hubbard are all terrific--but cannot hold a candle to Ms. McKinsey- a consumate professional. She will be missed.

I stopped watching Guiding Light after Beverlee McKinsey left the show in 1992. She was named by Soap Opera Digest as the BEST ACTOR in the history of Daytime Television. She will be missed by thousands who loved her over the years. RIP

To Scott and Son; Your mother and grandmother Beverlee Mc. was the best. I grew up watching her on Another World and found that she was amazing as Iris. Then I followed her to Texas, there a gain she was great. But her greatest role was when she created the character of Alexandra Spaulding. Hands down she seamlessly blended right into the GL canvas like she had always been there and that the character was not a new one but had been a staple in Springfield. Rare talent can do that. I was mortified of her suddent departure from GL. There has never been an actress who took over that role has even come close to her in talent and stature. Alexandra Spaulding is now a Daytime legend thanks solely to Beverlee. I will miss her dearly. James Parker-Jones Aiken, SC
