Dear Lilly, With great sorrow, I learned that you left your loving family and friends to join your beloved Bill. The five years we were neighbors on Colonial Avenue in Westminster were great fun. We enjoyed our bridge club, parties, dinners together, events at The Riding Club, evenings at Crab Houses in Baltimore and summer vacations at the beach. Wonderful memories! I will remember always your positive outlook & enjoyment of life, your many acts of kindness and your laughter. My condolences to Bill & Barbara, Sue & Rudy, Kassie, Jennifer & Jaki. Sincerely, George Baker

Thanks George for those very kind words about Mom. I, too, have many fond memories of living on Colonial Ave, those lazy days at the Riding Club pool, and being with our families at the beach. She certainly had a great sense of humor, and positive outlook on life, and that unmistakable laugh of hers will stay with me forever. Sue

I have so many memories of Mom leaving her backdoor open to all her friends and neighbors who may have wanted to stop by and chat. Well, it never mattered what time of day it was, or what Mom was in the middle of doing, she'd stop, sit, and talk to her friends at the kitchen table for hours if need be. She always had time for you, to listen to your problems, your concerns, your funny moments you just had to share with her. She loved to laugh, and once you got her going, you could hear my mother's laughter ring out throughout the neighborhood. Her laugh was unforgettable, and I'll always remember the joy it brought me. Your daughter, Sue

Kas, Bill and I probably have the best memory of the year when we were so excited about Christmas morning, because Kas and I wanted new two-wheel bicycles so badly, and Bill wanted a battery-operated car called a FatCAT. We could hardly sleep that night, wondering whether Santa Claus would be able to fulfill our wishes. WEll, the three of us sneaked down the stairs in wee hrs of the morning, to find two red Schwinn bicycles and a FatCAt car all sitting in front of the fireplace! My Mom and Dad worked all night putting those bikes together for the two of us in order to surprise us that morning. That is an example of the patience my parents had and the love they had for all of us throughout our lives. We love you..Sue, Kas and Bill

I love remembering every Thanksgiving at our house, my late brotherinlaw and Mom would get up very early the day before the Holiday to make the dough for the pirruhkads, and Dad would help get the kitchen ready for the rest of the tamily to arrive to help create and bake the delicious Estonian appetizers that we all enjoyed eating before our Holiday dinner. Mom wanted us to learn how to make and bake them correctly, and she would oversee our work, and if she ever saw an ugly one, she'd pull it off the tray and toss it aside, and say, "and what is this supposed to be"? She wanted them to look perfect and we mostly didn't care what they looked like..we just wanted to eat them. But her attention to detail stays with me, and that attention to detail may have helped in her creating such a lovely landscape around their home. I know you'll be watching us this year at Thanksgiving, Mom, making sure that those Estonian pirruhkads are made just right. Thanks for the lasting memories of that annual event... we will always remember that one. Love, Sue, Kas, Bill, Rudy, Barbara, Jenni, and Jaki

I was a year ahead of Lily and I remember when she came to our school. She was, and was till her death, adorable and very sweet. I remember that every boy in our school had a crush on her. I remember her telling her story. I used to play with Bill Jenness and the other kids on Westmoreland Street during junior and senior high school. So many memories of these times! I admire both of them for their long marriage and for raising great kids.

I have the best memory of my mother tending to our every need while Dad, Bill, Kas and I were all sick with the flu at the same time. We were all in the bed together to keep things simple for her, but she ran herself ragged running up and down the steps making sure we had everything we needed at all times. She never complained one bit, and did it out of pure love for all of us. She took that photo of all of us in that bed, and every time I look at it, I have to chuckle to myself...I am so glad to have that photo to bring back those kinds of memories of a wonderful caring, compassionate mother. She was the best to all of us! Love, Sue

Kassie, Sue and Bill: Jimmy Corsa and I used to play "ring & run" at your house, until the one evening your mother was waiting for me. I had just put my finger to the doorbell, when a bucket of water splashed on my head from upstairs. What a great sense of humor! Your mother was always very kind to me and I have nice memories of her. Our condolences. Love, Vince and Sarah Fiocco

I have the best memory of Rudy and my wedding in May of 1992 in the front garden of my parents' home. The landscape was fully in bloom, with the many colors of azaleas, rhododendrens, roses, dogwoods at their peak of beauty,. It was breathtaking to see, and it made my wedding day that much more beautiful and picture-perfect. Thaniks to my mother's living lanscape, which is still there today, I will always remember her hard work in creating such a wonderful masterpiece of color in their garden. I love and miss you,Mom, and you're with me everywhere I go. Love Always, Sue

I have fond memories of being out playing somewhere in Winchester Park as a kid growing up there, and when it was time to come home, Mom would open the door, lean out, and ring a bell that seemed to carry for a mile. I knew that I had better get back there quickly or there could be trouble, meaning I might miss out on some of her great meatloaf, salmon croquettes, mac and cheese, and possibly pirukad with soup. Bill
