Neville was my father's catechist and curate at St. Michael's Flinders Street in the Diocese of Sydney. When I was a very small boy Neville heard me tinkering at the piano and told my parents I should have piano lessons. He began this process that has lasted a lifetime. When my father died, Neville, then retired, drove all the way to Castle Hill in Sydney and arrived in time for the 11 am service. I have never forgotten this evidence of the regard in which Neville held my father.
