I first knew Peggy because her daughter, Chrissie, was one of my students in middle school. At that time, I was taking groups of students and their parents to Europe over Spring Break. Peggy, Chrissie and Peggy's mother came on one of these trips and they also included a trip to visit their relatives in Scotland. What an adventure for this three-some!! Through the years, Peggy and I remained friends and I was always awed by her tenacity for life. She lived one day at a time and took each ailment in stride, always looking positively to the future. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Dear Peggy, may the Angels come out to lead you into Paradise and may you rest always in God's Eternal Peace. Love, Marilyn Olson

It is so hard to pick just one memory of my mother. I wanted to pick one that captured her spirit, one that celebrated her life. And the more I thought, the more memories that came. I don't know if I will pick the best memory, but it is one that still makes me chuckle to this day. This happened when I was in middle school. Now I was, for the most part, a good kid, but there was one class that I always seemed to get into trouble in. Well, to try to "straighten me out" the vice princable called my mom down to the school and started to threaten suspension. (In retrospect I don't really think he intended to suspend me, he just wanted to scare me into acting right). Well most mom's would plea that their child not be suspended, but then my mom was not most mom's. She lit into that VP like there was no tomorrow, talking about what a way to punish a kid giving them a day off of school. And how my grandma was going to take me to the beach all day. Needless to say, by the end of the "conference" I was lucky that I only got 1 day off and not the rest of the year. The VP was so upset he broke his ballpoint pen writing out my suspension sheets! Now my mom was not mean, but I will always remember how fierce she could become if you messed with one of her kids!

So many memories and so many years have past since our friendship began over 20 years ago when Peggy joined Sysco of South Florida. She was a caring and loving Mother to her two wonderful children David and Chrissie. Peggy cherished her sister Kathy as everyone knew they were BEST FRIENDS. They often talked about their hopes and dreams of seeing the country together in their motorhome. Peggy was amazing how she could find the strength to make it through so many challanges she faced in her journey through life. I am grafeful for having Peggy for my friend and I will always cherish the good times we shared. I admired Peggy for her courageous fight for life and I know in her heart she really did not want to leave us. I close my eyes and I see your lovely smile and know you are at peace. Love Your Friend Forever Sherry

When we were kids we did not get along at all, we would fight over everything, except when we went on vacation we would become best friends. As adults we remained best friends. We shared a apartment for a couple of years and have way to many memories to include in this. When she moved to Florida, even with all the miles between us, we still remained very close. Even our kids are close being they were raised so many miles apart. In our later years we were looking so forward to retirement and traveling around the country in our motorhome. Now where ever my travels tke me she will always be with me. Her loving sister Kathy

We traveled to Las Vegas from WPB as a group and had a blast. Peggy and I were roomates and although she found other interests in Vegas to keep her occupied she was always checking in to see if I was winning. She told me so many interesting stories about growing up in Michigan and her "wild years". It was a side of Peggy most people that knew her from Sysco didn't know about. If you are invited to dinner and someone pulls out the home movies from old vacations your first thought is how to get away. That was exactly what I wanted to do when Peggy started showing Sherry Russo and me old home movies one night. As it turned out they were so funny, interesting and entertaining we stayed until around 3:00 am watching all of them. I will miss you Peggy, be at peace you deserve it, Kathy

I have so many fond memories, but one that stands out in particular: We were at NY Bar and Grill in Jupiter, and there was a live band, cache that was playing. We danced all night, literally closed the place down (about 3 a.m.) I recall her dancing as if she was floating and smling with that crafty smile that she had, knowing that she was the bomb!!! She was dancing with not one but two guys and they i am sure wondering how lucky they were. You are free now and i picked the icon of the dove that you are floating like i remember you, now enjoying the afterlife. i will miss you, girl!!! I know you are still smiling probably sitting peacefully sitting by the MAN upstairs making HIM chuckle!!! To her family, be strong and remember all those smiles !!! Love always, Vernita
