I have the best memories of Ray or 'Uncle Ray' as I called him as a child and even until I was married - He was probably the only person who had this honor for me, as our family was a bit limited with relatives. I remember Ray taking us sailing as a child. (although Connie you may remember I was not a good sailor) . I have lovely memories of childhood parties and get togethers with our families. Ray also made a beautiful speech at my father's funeral and Ray and Connie were always there for my mum when Dad passed away. My mum Pat, if she could convey a message to you, it would be that she loved Ray and I think that she dreams fond times of past experiences with you both..- especially the photo taken of both Connie and Pat walking down Martin Place in the war years - I love this photo. Hope Ray is up there with Merv and they can get together - Dad was a golfer and fisherman and Ray,I think was a bowler - they will sort it out . We will see them again.
