God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me", With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
A loved one that has finished their life on earth is not dead, their life has just began. They are still with us in spirit!
You are in our hearts Alex!
Love,
The Moussa Family

It was early in our relationship when our family first went to WV for Xmas and New Years with the Bayer family. Alex and I had met a few times before, however, having the opportunity to spend a significant time together really strengthend our friendship further. I also gave him my trust to teach me how to ski and Alex was one hell of a great skier. Anyways, so we go up to the top of Timberline and ski down Salamander (green circle = easiest skill level) and I did pretty well (only fell once). On the way back up on the lift he said let's try something a bit harder, so I agreed. Alex took me down White Lightning (BLACK DIAMOND = EXPERT) for anyone that knows Timberline Resort it's steep and difficult. For the next what felt like 20 minutes I slowly carved my way down the mountain shouting at him along the way that I can't believe he would do this to me on only my second ski run in my entire life! He never left my side, but he definitely chuckled as I made my mistakes and I definitely used some less then politically correct words for this site at him for this life changing event. Alex challenged me, and I accepted every single one of them - some I lost and some I won. I still ski to this day b/c of that day with him and the fun we had together during our ski adventures. That is definitely one of the hardest parts though, is not having him to challenge me in everything I do anymore and I will miss skiing with him. TCD = SMB
Love and miss you brother-
Ryan

The one over-riding memory I have of Alex is that he was always willing to engage me in conversation, add to something or question something, keeping me on my toes which showed me he cared about what I was saying, my opinion or what was going on with me at that time. I miss that, I miss him.

Hi Everyone - don't be shy and share a story about Alex. There are many of us out there who have a wonderful tale about our dear friend. So let us all hear it. Thanks.

-RPM
