I admired Amanda and the realationship she has with her sister, Lainey. They were as tight as theives and at times could fight like champs. This was all from pure love. Amanda loved her sister and would go to the end of the earth for her..even if she was embarrased by her at school lol Lainey misses Amanda more than words can describe. Lainey has a new gift in her life a son, Bradley who is 3 wks old. I feel he is a gift from Amanda to help her sister deal with loosing Amanda. Someone to love and be loved is a beautiful thing.

Amanda has such a wonderful group of friends that throughout the years have shown her support, even though she is gone. I feel she has touched each of their lives in her own special way. People that weren't close to Amanda only have good things to say..this brings me comfort. I love hearing stories of her raising hell with friends or stories at a sleepover with the girls.

During the weeks preceding Amanda's death I was taking care of my father who was dying of cancer. Amanda would beg me to spend the night at home and get another family member to help out. I would explain to her that we know he is dying and we have the rest of our lives together. The night before her death I came home to shower and spend family time..my favorite time. Amanda was going out with a friend but before leaving she wanted to share what had been bothering her..of course it was boys. She had just ended a 3 yr realationship and of course was devistated. We had a great talk about boys and what their perceptions are and just be open and go for it. Go up to him say "hi good looking". We laughed hysterically. After our conversation she seemed so much happier and even made plans to go out with another friend that evening. Little did I know this was going to be it. It's almost as if Amanda knew...she gave me a hug and a kiss and went to leave. She came back to give me another hug and kiss..just because. I will never forget this conversation..I treasure it!
