I feel priviledged that my husband took me to Branson so many times and went to all the shows with me. We both enjoyed your shows and were thrilled when you took time out of your busy schedule to meet us and chat with us. My picture with you is one of my treasured memories, along with all the items that you autographed for both of us. Your music has brought me through the best and worst times of my life. I know you were serenading my husband as he entered heaven's gates just a few days after you did. Both of you will live in my heart forever. Rest In Peace
ANDY WILLIAMS 1927-2012 rest in peace. Today the sky is full of rain our eyes is full of tears. But the love we have inside is for the man who teaches us what love means. I think you will be together with Abraham Martin and John. Sammy Frankie Bing and Dean. Some day somewhere in Heaven i will see you again singing with the angels. So long my friend. Love from Greece
My sincere sympathy to the family of Andy Williams. My favorite was Moon River. REST IN PEACE, ANDY.
The first time I saw Andy perform was way back Forest Hills Tennis Court Concert. I was 16 years young am now 69 have followed him and his concerts New York Ed Sullivan Theater, New Jersey Theater, Mass Theater, Fla Theaters and lastly Branson. My mom mentioned he had a red lining in his jacket at the Forest Hill event kinda impressed I guess--I was fortunate to have known several people at the theater and met Andy several times backstage. My husband mentioned I over the years had spent all of his money on Andy's shows laughingly, During Fan Club day my girlfriend met Andy and mentioned to him that she was an Elvis fan and did not know Andy until I brought her to Branson to meet him. She became a fan. I feel very fortunate to have been one of Andy's friends over the years and he will always have a place in my heart. By the way everyone that I have mentioned above mom, dad, husband and best girlfriend are all welcoming Andy since they passed several years ago. I can only hope he is serenading them all with his melodic voice incl my husband. Until we all meet again
reast in peace Andy you brought wonderful music into ours lifes your music touch everyones heart, your music will live forever
My love for Andy and his music began with his TV Shows in the 1960s and I was particularly smitten when he used to chose a girl from the audience to dance with towards the end of the show. My favourite memory of Andy is the first time I saw him live in 1979 only a few feet from me as he bounded down the centre aisle towards the stage. I couldn't believe I was really seeing him and that he was so close to me. I have seen him in many other concerts and managed to exchange a few words but not met him properly. Thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
No, I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Williams personally or see him live in concert. But my favorite memories would be of his Christmas specials and the Christmas music he recorded. I loved Andy's singing voice and always sang along with him. He will be missed by so many. My thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with his family during this difficult time.
The most powerful memory I have of Andy Williams is his singing of "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" for the late Senator Robert Kennedy, a close friend whom Andy had great affection. I had loved Andy since I first heard "The Village of Saint Bernadette." I loved his Christmas special with his entire family. His children grew up before our eyes. Andy was a kind and gentle man whose voice was exquisitely beautiful and expressive. Our facebook group, "Andy Williams' Huckleberry Friends" went to Branson two weeks ago in hopes of seeing him. We did not, but we spent a week in his world while he was still in it. I will cherish that memory always. Love to Debbie, Don, Dick, Noelle, Christian, Bobby, Claudine and all of the grandchildren. Thankyou Bobby for making your father write his book "Moon River and Me."
Although I never met Andy personnally, I have fond memories of him. His music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I still have some audio cassettes my Dad made of me singing to Andy Williams when I was 2 1/2 years old. 40+ years later, my shelf is full of Andy William CDs and DVDs, my Ipod has every album on it, and I got to visit the Moon River Theatre and Grill for the first time last fall on 3 December (Andy's 83rd Birthday...right after he had made the announcement about his illness). Andy Williams truly was one of the last iconic entertainers of our time. His music and memory will live on forever and ever in the hearts of his fans; old, young, and new!! God bless you Andy!
