Wow. I think of her so often. The only time I knew her from one class at the UAC conference. I'm glad I let her know she was my favorite female speaker. Dearly beloved family it's never too late to let you know too.

How much time has passed since I've seen her last? I do not know, but yet I wait for her. I love to see her coming around the cornor with a smile on her face and the breeze carring her laughter. So long gone now. I am filled with regrets. Regrets of not spending more time with her. Regrets of the time I spent with her when I chose to disagree with her and be mad at her. Surely she must know now that I was not in my right mind at the time. I walk the woods looking for her, the light in her eyes. I listen at the waters edge, still I do not hear from her. How long is this end? I wait and I hope in my heart for the time when she and I will reunite and be friends once again. Dear sweet Anne Shirely how long has it been.

there was always a myriad of people in and out of our home.. Mom had a community of people she loved and cared for and provided shelter for, when they needed it. there was always a warm meal that could be shared to take fragments and make them whole - that is what mom did piecing together - pulling together - she made a community their stories will be part of the fabric of our lives forever.

I visited Anne once a year for my chart. She always encouraged me to be an artist even when I resisted. She was right, I am a photographer but that was many years ago. She also told me I was a medium and I resisted until two months ago when Anne actually popped into my head for a visit. I did not know she had passed. So I went to another medium who told me she thought she was in the spirit world. It finally dawned on me today to search. Now I know. Anne is doing fine and it looks like her hair is blond. Thank God for her !!!

Your comment made me LOL - mom always wanted to be a blonde and often tried to get me to dye my hair. So funny - couldn't have been anyone but her. ; )

I was blessed enough to have been brought over to the Toth household while visiting with Matt while he was in Niagara...I cannot remember what year it was but I am guessing it was 1997 or 8....we were boating, more appropriately Matt was trying to teach me how to wake-board if I'm not mistaken! LOL Epic fail on my part but I tried! Matt brought me back to the house and where his mother brought out food and welcomed me like I was family. What a warm and amazing soul I was introduced to. I will never forget what she told me that day or how she tried to guide me in the confusion I shared with her. Now I was thinking about her so much in the last little while and I'm not entirely sure why, but when I came onto the internet to search, this is where I was brought and my heart is sad. Just one moment with a person can change your outlook immeasurably and she most definitely changed mine. Thank-you Anne...I am so blessed to have met you!

... we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number, really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four or five times more. perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless.

your birthday is fast approaching. You would have been turning 69 this year, and I've no doubt that we would have been planning a picnic at Dufferin Islands - or a trip to Lily Dale for the day. Calvin and I will take Jake the dog and head to the 'park' overlooking the river - where your ashes rest now. We'll take the ball launcher for the baby border collie and think about you and charlie. xoxo lizzie and calvin

We first met when I took a tarot card class with her, I was invited to join her at her Friday night radio shows after which we would dine at the East Indian Restaurant sharing many stories and laughs. When I came to her for my Astrology Chart she literally saved my life by telling me I was going to be an Non-Traditional Art Teacher and if I didn't find a way to release the earthquake of old, buried emotions I would end up having a nervous breakdown or worse. I thought she was wrong about the Art thing, I knew in my heart that she was right about the buried emotions. The proof of this was coming out in bouts of skin rashes that couldn't be explained by the medical profession. I was drawn to a little town on Lake Huron called Southampton... I picked up a cheap pad of paper /a set of markers... went back to my room to prove her wrong. Ever since I have been both doing and teaching what has become Art from the Heart Adventures. It was like I opened my heart and it all came gushing out . WOW! When I went back to see Anne again, while I was waiting in the little cabin where she did her readings, I set up close to 70 of the heartworks I had done in just 6 short months and she was truly appreciative of the powerful presentation. As usual she was humble about having been the catalyst for this life saving change saying I had a choice to make and made it. She was proud of me though and that meant a lot. I mention how Anne saved my life at most of my workshops and talks and thank her for being so frank about the change I needed to make. In April of this year I went back to Southampton to teach the techniques I was guided to develop in the same room years ago and once more told the participants how a wonderful pyschic friend made this all possible. Until we meet again, Dear ANNE, whereever that might be. Love & Light, Carolyn Shannon

Charlie dog, Charles Barker, Charlie-maus, Chuckles the clown Our world traveler and companion extraordinaire has left us for greener fields, after suffering a series of seizures last nite and this morning caused by a brain tumour. Charlie, who was born in Niagara On the Lake, came to live with me in 1994 at the tender age of 6 months after being rescued. He never left a ball or stick un-chased or un-chewed. He lived fully engaged every single moment. Charlie loved his long walks on the beach with Grandma Anne Toth and was by her side until she went down the path ahead of him. He retired to Maple Ridge BC in 2007 where he lived with Calvin and Lizzie. His retirement days were filled with long philosophical discussions with Cats, 5 daily walks to the park where he met and played with every dog who was willing, and saturdays at the barn - stealing carrots from the horses - and chasing whatever piece of hay could be thrown. He was really enjoying his 'retirement' and spent lots of time at the shore with us. He leaves a gaping whole in our hearts and in our lives.

I never met Anne. I now live in her house/home. We moved in on the very day that she passed. Throughout the process to buy the property, we had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth who walked us through and shared a lot of the family history here. When we arrived, Matt had left us a beautiful message about the house - it made us cry but also assure us that this was the best decision we'd ever made. It was that history, and the obvious signs of Anne everywhere that really drew us here. We really feel as though we know her and she touches us in different ways from time to time. Thank you to Elizabeth for building this site so we can read everyone's thoughts and memories. I can assure you all that she is still here sharing her wisdom, peace and love.

I don't know why but, many years ago I received some email messages from Azeala Chubb Baggins. I can't remember whether I ever asked Anne why she started signing them that way. I guess I just accepted it as another aspect of my friend Anne. I'm sad. I've been spending most of the last year and some dealing with major family issues and haven't been keeping in touch with those I love who live at a distance. Every year I send Anne a card or an email message or I call for her birthday. Yesterday I sent an email birthday greeting to Anne and it was returned. Tonight I thought I'd check the internet and see whether I could track her down and, instead of finding a valid email address, I discovered this site. What a shock! When I think back, I can’t remember exactly when I met Anne. I know that it was at a Sufi seminar in Toronto and it might have been in the late 70s but it was probably in the very early 1980s. And I remember often doing Sufi dancing with Anne and her sister Evelyn. As I write this I have so many memories flashing through my mind. And each and every memory of Anne is filled with Joy and Love. One day back in the 80s Annie was doing my chart. I showed up around noon and we started. The tape recorder was turned on, then off, then on once again. We sipped tea and we chatted about 8 million different things. At one point, I said “Anne, I’m feeling a bit hungry, what about you?” She said that she, too, was hungry. When we checked the time it was after 10pm! Anyway, Annie and I went out, got some food and continued talking. Then we went back and talked some more. Yes, I eventually made my way back to Toronto but it was around 4 am when I got back in my car! That seemed to happen whenever I was with Anne. Time just disappears when you’re bathed in beauty and joy. It seems strange that I was there when her husband passed, again with her sister but I wasn’t there to say goodbye to Anne. Maybe that’s just the way things sometimes happen. What I can say with certainty is that knowing Anne was a true blessing. - khusrau bob carell

Ah Khusarau, I believe this is how she would have wanted you to remember her. With fond memories of long chats over tea, sufi dancing and her amazing laughter. You email reminded me of the last movie afternoon mom and I had - just before she went into the hospital for th last time. We spent 8 hours watching the entire extended version of the Lord of the Rings. The sequence with Gandalf talking to one of the hobbits who in despair said 'I can't believe it will end like this' Gandalf said... 'Oh - it doesn't end here. Death is just another path and one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world is pulled back and all turns to silver glass. Then you see it - white shores ....and a far green country.' It's the image I hold onto when I think of her - and the reason the masthead image looks the way it does. I imagine us - one day again - sitting in the grass with the horses and charlie - having a picnic.... xo lizzie

A letter from Elizabeth Toth.... I'm so grateful to all of you who wrote to Anne with your stories of how her gift had touched your lives; with your uplifting words of encouragement; with your declarations of admiration and friendship. Anne was a strong and private woman when it came to this battle - but even the mountain must tremble, and during the toughest times she gained solace and comfort from reading your emails and letters and understanding that she had been a source of light in your lives. I hope you will find some peace in knowing that the joy and comfort you found in her words winged it's way back to her through your words, prayers, and good wishes. There is no darkness in this place that we're bound Love is the only thing that matters. Let your faith be your strength and your love be your guiding star. Thank you, Elizabeth

Anne, are you watching us all now? How we do search still for the wisdom, fun and laughter that you so readily shared. It was decades ago now that you came to Ottawa and brought your warmth, kindness and love into my home. Insights. fun and tea leaves followed your lecture. Updates at conferences and then....... Peace be with you, your family and friends and with all of us left here. Thanks for lovely memories.

. Anne and I met in 1996 on our birthday. I had never met anyone with the same birthdate, same year, and born two hrs. before me. What a trip it was knowng Anne. She lived life her way. She did everything that sparked her interest . Anne studied Astrology, Mediumship, (she was a natural) Sufi dancing, Studied the Kabala, Ran a Tea room, became a radio host, did palm readings, tarot readings etc. Life was an adventure to Anne. She arrived in this life Aug 3rd on a Saturday evening , ready to party. Although not everything in her life was easy, Anne kept looking for the blessing in all situations.. She impacted everyone she met. How could you resist that smile and rosy cheeks. Ann freely shared her talents with all who were interested. She has left her mark on all of us who loved her. I am so glad for the time we had together. God bless you Anne until we meet the next time around. Alice P. Spring

Her teachings was/is stepping stones to Higher Ground for many, many people all around the world. Her clients, students, friends and family reflect philosophical and cultural diversity and show throug God's Love that peace is attainable. Anne's presents and presence will surely be a hallmark to many. God speed you, Anne, to the distinction between Transcendence and Divine Fulfillment. Your Friend and Kindred Spirit, Gayle Porter

Anne was a dear. She was a shining light and shared that light of love with everyone. I first met Anne through Fellowships of the Spirit where she was a highly respected instructor. I later attended an introduction to palmistry class she taught through the Church of the Living Spirit. Anne was such a talented and gifted woman - I greatly respected her desire to share her knowledge with others. Anne, you will be missed. I hope and trust that you will join my son, father, and grandparents, and others in becoming a member of my "cheerleading and advisory team" in Spirit. I love you!

My dear sweet friend, Thank you for coming with me to see The Golden Compass this past Sunday. Who else would appreciate all the out there fantasy movies and books we so enjoyed. Anne, I first got to really meet you at Gurney's Inn when you looked at me and suddenly delivered a message to me from my mom. Thank you Anne for your friendship, your goofiness and your wisdom. Thank you for the way in which you honored and respected me, teaching me to do a better job honoring myself. I miss your physical presence, but I keep hearing your delicious laugh and seeing your twinkly eyes. Much love, Susan

I'm thankful for the opportunity to get to know my Auntie Anne again as an adult. Through, the teenage years and having kids years, we lost touch for some time. Auntie Anne helped me through the loss of my mom (her sister) and for that, I will be forever grateful. I really wish I could phone her now for some wise advise! She always knows, cause she was a wise and knowledgeable lady. SO BRAVE! She was, for sure, the bravest person, I have met. Brave with her treatments; always optimistic; no matter how sick, or down and out she got, NEVER, ever giving up. To be so brave, she was amazing. I feel I was blessed to have had the time to get re-acquainted with her, and laugh, and share with her , and to be related to such an awesome sole! Rest in Peace, Auntie Anne. Miss ya, Love ya., Cindy

Posted from Annie B in Vancouver BC.... Anne Shirley Toth belonged to the GWC - Great Women's Club. I met Anne years ago in the astrology world. It took a few years for me to find out she was also an accomplished Kabballist and psychic. One time in Montreal I sat with her for a psychic session - she predicted very accurately the love of my life and we have now been together 20 years. I am also an Anne, and Anne and I laughed long and heartily about life, love, family and anything that was our focus at any particular time. Years ago I had a very special stay with her and her family in Fort Erie. I was a guest on her radio show. She was such a great radio personality! If you met Anne, you would not forget the meeting. She was always and is now, more than ever, the great spirit, fancy and free, causing the same stir in the spirit world that she caused here on Earth. I for one, will miss her presence and I look forward to meeting up with her again, on the other side or here, in another body. Have fun dear souls sister and keep sharing all that love that you have for everyone.
