Barbara set a wonderful example of how to live.... and how to die. I'll always remember her saying (after she was given her prognosis), "It's no good being angry or upset. It only makes you feel sicker." No bitterness. Just a calm acceptance. I'll also remember her granddaughter saying that, no matter what the crisis was, Barbara would always say, "I'll be there." She was a strong, caring lady.

When I first met Barbara, she was quiet but when we started talking, she was really nice and warm. She loved her Tai Chi and you would see her in World Tai Chi Day, Demonstrations, Workshops and many other events. I am sure she had enlightened many people hearts in her Tai Chi classes. What a remarkable lady even when odds were against her; she continued to show us her positive energy. Her courage & enthusiasm will always live on in my heart.

She is always nice, so willing and eager to learn, and so happy to share her knowledge and time! I worked with her in many workshops, despite her medical condition, she showed great enthusiasm and never look tired! I know she has shared tai chi with so many others and have changed their lives! What a brave and wonderful lady. You have contributed great to the world, may your spirit be blessed and live on to benefit others. With respect and love from Paul Lam

I could not believe it the first time I saw Barbara rock up for Tai Chi complete with oxygen and tubing. In the true spirit of Tai Chi she carried on despite the appendage, a truly remarkable woman, an example and inspiration to us all.
