Ironically I was watching Head Of State and when i was surfing on the internet and when saw this bad and sad news i was shocked and deeply saddened. Although I did not get a chance to ever meet Bernie Mac as a native Chicagoan like him I always felt like he was my brother. I saw him standing on the corner of Columbus and Ontario one night a long time ago before Kings of Comedy, before the Bernie Mac show , before he blew up and he was just a regular guy but with a talent that you knew was going to bring him into the spotlight one day. His star was very bright and I like so many others are heartbroken now that the light has gone out. Mrs McCullogh and family, I can't begin to know the depth of your pain or the loss that you feel but please know my prayers are with you. I know a God who can wipe away all tears and heal any pain. God Bless you beyond measure.

When someone dies, you sometimes have to think of what you are going to say that would ease some of the pain for the family members; so I say to his wife and family: Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal, and To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Just to ponder that thought right there means there is no more suffering, and he is with his father in heaven. Nothing could be more beautiful. He made us laugh, he gave us insight; wisdom, knowledge and so much more, but now he brings to heaven his jokes forever more. We were some of his core fans who could not wait to see his act at the Grand Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi in the 1990's. I remember him in the blue suit on stage, his jokes were non-stop! I remember my brother eager to get me to watch this comedy video kings of comedy it lay around my living room for ages before i got the chance to watch it but when i did OH MY GOD i rewound bernie macs set so much the video became really grainy LoL Since then i have gone to the cinema to see anything with him in it and bought every def jam with him featuring. People always get very sentimental when someone dies and are a lot more complimentary about their art when they are dead but Bernie mac is one exception i loved everything about who he was his brand of comedy and his whole positive outlookon life, i love the fact that he worked hard from def jam to hollywood, and he included us his fans in that journey. To his family and friends, though i am so sorry for this horrible horrible loss i am also envious you had the honour to be aornd him to contribute to his greatness and im sure the memories will keep you guys strong
