I was able to scan some of my favorite pictures from long ago. In June of 1977 I stayed with Barbara while Bob and Jerry were working the Alaskan pipeline, that's when she made me the otufits shown here. We also took photos of each other to send to warm the hearts of our husban'd on the frozen tundra! I hope you enjoy these photos and share some of your own.
I think as humans we have always looked to the sky as one of our navigational systems through which to find God, or at the very least, to grasp the way in which God does business with us here on earth. We are His divine creations and Barb was right in the wise counsel she gave all of us, NONE of us are "just here" or "merely existing" we are here for a reason. And each and every experience we have had - good or bad, and the people we have met on our journey through life, have been part of OUR individual purposes and reason for being. We are Divine Creations and we are all channels of grace. Barbara was a TRUE and PASSIONATE CARE-GIVER. I was blessed to have known her for over forty years and the early years I spent with her told me she was destined for greatness. I think she has taught all of us, especially those closest to her, about caring and about the importance of paying it forward. Barbara always had the fortitude to make courageous choices. Her heart generated such unimaginable goodness, love and compassion. Her legacy to us all is the inspiration and desire to do the same with others who come into our paths. The legacy of Barbara, my dear sister-in-law and longtime friend will live on forever in the lives of countless individual’s. God truly blessed us with one of His most special angels. And now, as her sister said, “she is up above planning the greatest family and friend reunion heaven has ever seen.”
