I felt proud that Dr De Wilde married my mother, Elisabeth Rodowicz/De Wilde, in 1976, and remained with her until she was 80, in Canberra, where he worked as an oncologist at Canberra Hospital, formerly Woden Hospital. My mother has died too. She missed him a great deal when he moved to Wentworth Falls. He helped me personally a great deal about 1979 and later. I owe him a debt of gratitude for many reasons and feel regret that I could not attend his funeral. He was a clever and good man. Sonja Galic Rodowicz Standley.
