I met George Carlin back in '71, when he was doing a College Circuit tour with Abby Hoffman, at a party after the show. What a dear, yet intelligent man !! Down to earth.. yet kind. (My claim to fame is that George Carlin taught me how to play "Quarters" !!)
Now you 'trump' the FCC... run with it !!
Bless you George..... and all those you leave behind.
Tonite the sky will be a 'little bit brighter'... for your STAR will be now shining there.

HAVE A NICE DAY:
WE DID UNTIL NOW:
SEE YA IN THE VILLAGE

I remember sneaking my Dads vinyl records of George Carlin in the late 60s and listening to them in the basement. I remember staying up late on that Saturday to watch him on SNL and hanging on every word.
Now, I have passed on his body of work to my kids, open and unshamed.
When I heard the news, a tear came to my eye. I had to call my brother.
My Dad, Ronald Reagan and now George Carlin. All heros to me.
Thanks George for making me laugh. It helped alot.

I guess you now know, my dear George, if there is a heaven. I just heard on the news that this world has lost one of its finest, funniest, insightful and quite intelligent comedians and souls. How I wish you were wrong about heaven. My eyes are watering as I write. I will be 53 next week. i remeber seing you at St John's University....as a very young man. You touched my funny bones ...as well as making me think out of the box.
I wish your family the best in their grief...as i too greive your passing.
Don't Laugh, George....but GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
Michael....from Long Beach, NY

Culture cutting, intellectual humor. Thank you for the memories and the thought provoking.

My husband and I saw you several years back at the old Palace Theater in New Haven, CT and what a thrill it was for us to witness your genius. You didn't miss a word or a line of the most complex train of thoughts! Wow, you blew us away! We would like to thank you for being you and for also making us see the absurdness and contradictory things that we as people do and say. You made us roar when we were kids with the Hippy Dippy Weather Man and Myra Brekenrich , then made us laugh about the human condition. George, you were a master of observation and wit. We'll miss you but never forget you. Peace

Thank you for making me laugh.

Well you made me think, back in the day when we were "high" You were to damn funny and is was things we were thinking..................... but you said it for us :)
God Bless You

I can't thank George enough for being an inspiration for us to laugh at ourselves and our leaders rediculous ideas. He simple took common sense and tweeked it! I still quote you, George and I won't stop! I hope to have a front row ticket to see you in in concert when I join you in Heaven. You left too soon.
Love From Franklin Indiana

I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED AS HARD AS WHEN YOU PULLED OUT A HUGE LIST OF THE OTHER WORDS YOU CAN NEVER SAY ON TELEVISION. IT WAS IN STAMFORD CT. REST IN PEACE GOOD FRIEND

You were the best!!!!! I absolutely loved you!!!! Now all my favorites are together in Heaven. Rodney, Sam and George.

Rest in Peace George, you will be sadly missed, and i thank you for all the many hours of laughter and insight you've provided. You helped shape the way i view the world i live in, i thank you for that, Its too bad i wont be able to see you next month at Hampton Beach, i kept telling everyone, 'get your tickets it could be the last time we are graced by his prescence', but i'm keeping my tickets and putting them with all the other stubs.... Hope the afterlife provides you with as much amusement as you had in real life.

george you were something else, a person of immesurable talent and love for life. your witty insight into the inner workings of life and endless pursuit of trying to make people stop and think, were highlights in my life so much as you are the first person in my life that i would stop and take a moment to say "thank you." You are still loved and will be missed.

I never missed a tour when George Carling came to Safety Harbor at R. E. Hall in Clearwater, I just loved him, his mind and talent will live on for ever! He had the guts to tell it like it was and is! I am an atheist, but what ever happens to his body, his thoughts will still live on.
Much Respect, Lynda C.

You were the best in the business. I'll miss your insightful views on this crazy world we live in. When I found out this morning of your passing, I uttered the seven words you can't say on television!
You will be greatly missed.

It makes me want to say all seven of those words.
He changed the world; may he rest in peace.

George rest in peace and keep the jokes coming upstairs . thank you for the laugh you will be miss

from the mid 1970's when i discovered george to current times, george made me laff. laff at society and ourselves. he was great....even if he never did get hair cut. he will be missed and i have told my parents to welcome him in up there. his times were real for me and all of us the past few decades. he'll be missed.

Now you are with your true love. Give God a good chuckle for all us down here. Try not to piss him off with your Catholic school jokes. We love you and miss you

The thinking man's comedian and one of a kind. We will miss you, George. God Bless the loved ones you leave behind.

YOU TOLD IT LIKE IT WAS AND HAD INTERESTING THOUGHTS THAT NO PERSON COULD COME UP WITH.YOU WERE ALWAYS EDGY AND BRUTAL WITH THE TRUTH,AND I WILL MISS YOU MY FRIEND.MAKE SURE YOU TELL THE BIG MAN UPSTAIRS SOME GOOD ONES TO KEEP HIM AND US LAUGHING.REST NOW AND WHEN I SEE YOU I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEW MATERIAL.GOD BLESS

Rest in peace George. You made us all laugh. And we will always remember you for that. You were a bit crude at times, but you were the type of comedian we needed. No one can compare to you. Share those jokes in heaven.
