One of my favorite memories with George was on a ski trip that I took with him and Betty. My sister, Lauren and I went to Pagosa Springs in Colorado for a ski trip. It was on this trip that I learned how to ski. About the third day, George and I were skiing together, and it was a complete white out on the mountain. We were on the lift up to the bunny hill, and about to get off, when I fell from about 9 feet in the air into about 4 feet of unpacked snow. Now, I wasn't hurt, but George just laughed and laughed about how I'm supposed to wait to get off the lift and not get off at my own convenience. He was funny like that. He always knew when one of his kids or grandkids was really hurt, or when it was funny. George had one of those senses of humor that everyone could enjoy. I know you're watching over me buddy. Keep biking on your bike of gold, one day we'll ride together again.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of what you might say in a certain circumstance or that I don't hear your voice or the warmth of your laughter. Words cannot express the depth of which your absence is felt. Losing you has left a hole in all of our lives. I love you, daddy....
