I dated Glenyse in Glendale, California when I was a 21 year old new Mormon, in 1976, having converted from fundamentalist Christianity. I am 57 now. She was just good. She cared for me with a virtuous woman's heart. I can name few who have been so accepting of me, though I earned nothing and had nothing. She was just the best and I wish I had been more grown up for her and had had a real career going. I am very saddened to have recently discovered her passing.

My dear aunty, may you rest in peace. You are with us each day when my baby daughter rose is wearing your special hand made outfits. Wish i had known you, you were loved and respected by many. Xxxxxx

Much loved sister, resident of Chicago for over thirty years, I had the pleasure of Glenyse's company for two weeks in April/May this year when I visited her in Winnetka. Glenyse had endured the last two years of treatment and surgery for breast cancer. From the age of fifteen she was a devoted member of The Church of Latter-Day Saints. She was an extremely talented seamstress and many wedding parties wore her creations. At Northfield Oakwood Cemetery Glenyse was laid to rest on Friday 25th June.

For forty-five years Glenyse was an active member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints and her beliefs sustained her through two years of agony caused by Stage 4 breast cancer and the treatment of the disease. For the past thirty years she lived in the north shore area of Chicago, mainly in or around Winnetka. A talented seamstress, many bridal parties wore her creations. Having spent two weeks with Glenyse in April-May I know just how admired she was by her many friends and acquaintances, and how she will be missed. Her funeral was held on Friday 25th June at Northfield Oakwood Cemetery.
