For some reason the first thought in my mind when I heard he had died was, "I bet he hit the ground running when he got there" he was one of Gods best, always working at being one in the order of Christ

He gave us so much hope, his love for the Savior and the restored gospel was seen not just in his words, but in the way he lived his life. Our family will miss seeing him in conference and enjoying his wonderful sense of humor.

I remember anticipating what President Hinckley would tell the world in the October conference after 9/11. Would he predict more doom and gloom? In true prophetic fashion, President Hinckley told us all how wonderful it is to live in such a wonderful age when good outweighs bad, when technology allows us so much opportunity and when the gospel of the Savior is available in great abundance. What comfort! What joy!

I love this man and look forward to talking with him one day, though I am in no hurry. He spoke to us all at a special meeting in the Logan Temple about ten years ago and I still remember him waving to me and my friend, he lived just east of the temple where he drove by as he left, he was so reachable and down-to-earth and his character was so full of integrity and sincerity as well as humor. Aside from his duties as President of the church I believe he did even more humanitarian work world-wide than Mother Theresa (though I have great respect for the service she rendered in this life as well). He even outlived the actor Heather Ledger who passed a few days earlier of apparent prescription drug overdose (autopsy pending). I have lost most respect for the media considering Heather Ledger got about 100x more coverage than President Gordon B. Hinckley did. I know he must be very happy now to be with his wife. I am sad but at the same time I am very happy for him. He will be very missed. I also love Thomas S. Monson who will make a wonderful prophet in his footsteps. I am thankful to have the knowledge that being a member of this church gives me and to be able to enjoy quality of life better because of it and to share with those interested when occasion permits. I loved Gordon B. Hinckley he was someone I indeed would've loved to have had over to every family holiday a rare gem of a human being.

I have always admired his ability to look forward. His optimism and humor was wonderful and made him easy to relate to and love. I'll miss seeing and hearing him at General Conference. However, I am very excited that he's back with Margory and his mother and father--what a time he must be having! Best wishes to his family and friends closest to him.

I wish to express my love for this great and wonderful man who stood so steadfastly at the head of the Church of Jesus Christ and was so valiant and so faithful, enduring with perfection all the days of his life on earth. I remember with affection President Hinckley's sense of humour, how I would laugh at the remarks made during conference broadcasts. President Hinckley may have been old in years but he was so young at heart. I loved his great compassion for the poor and needy. I will remember President Hinckley for his ability to reach my very soul with his good Christian charity. Also I wil also remember the way President Hinckley inspired me to keep engaged in good works and keep on working no matter what!!! "A great man passed this way and forever changed the world"

We will always remember and cherish his love for the gospel and for all people. HIs encouraging words and unwavering testimony will always be a source of inspiration for us. We love you! 'Till we meet again our beloved associate!

Our beloved prophet ,Gordon B. Hinckley, was my hero.

I am a convert to the Church and Predident Hinckley is the only prophet I have ever known. I truly admire how he always showed his love for the church and was always willing to guide us with love. He was close to God and we could always know that his instruction came directly from Heavenly Father. I will remember him with love and admiration and his family will be in my prayers.

Gordon B Hinckley had a love for the church. He always had a smile on his face. He always found happiness in the gospel and the work that he performed for it. Gordon B Hinckley had a true testimony of the gospel. He was a happy man and had an enduring sense of humor. He was also a very hard worker. He was loved by many people and will be missed, but it is good that he went without pain and now he is in a better place with the ones he loved.

He was one who treated and viewed people as Jesus Christ did.

He was a great president,he inspired a lot of people.We will never forget him.His work had an impact on many people.Im sure our heavenly father has recieved him with wide open arms and great love, just as we accepted him as our prophet and leader.We will miss him.He was a big example for me and for my family.

I remeber when he dedicated the Santo Domingo Temple and the feeling of pure love that he had for everyone he met there.

President Hinckley is a true inspiration and a model man of God. I don’t consider him as being gone. Although he has left us in this world, he will always be in my heart and in the hearts of millions. As a convert, he reached my inner being with his words of wisdom and human logic as to the meaning of salvation and my role as a child of God. I will miss his southing speeches and not to mention his insight to the rest of the world. He crossed borders that not too many could cross and pulled down barriers that not many could pull down. President Hinckley, thank you for hanging on for us as long as you did. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

A Wonderful man is gone President Hinckley has a very strong impact in my life, his teachings helped me have a better understanding about the principles we stand for as LDS members. He has sat a great exmaple of faith, love, endurance and chanrity for all. He helped those in need, he comforted the afflicted. He will be missed, but always remember as a wonderful prophet chosen by God to lead his people in these latter days.

I remember sitting and waiting for hours while saving seats in the Hart Gym at "Ricks College" (now BYU-I) to hear the Prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley, speak for a Tuesday devotional sereverl years ago. I was fortunate to be sitting so close to where he was speaking and when he enter the stage area, waiving, it sent chills throughout my body. The six hour wait was so worth waiting for, I would do it all over again. He was an amazing Prophet and I loved him dearly. I will always cherish my many special memories of this wonderful Prophet. Heart goes out to the family but I am sure they know where he is and that he is having a wonderful reunion.

Gordon B. Hinckley was the only prophet i knew. He served us with love and was a good man. I remember his last general confrence and i loved it when he spoke to us.

I remember the day of celebration on that july night in 2005, That was the closest ive ever come to him. I wish i could have met him. One day soon we will be back with you. I cant wait!

I pray that he had a chance to be born again before he passed away. Jesus died for all of us if we only believed and gave our lives to Him.

I being a member lost, today find sadness in lossing a great prophet, who tried to teach us to love all, a message still not taken to heart and soul by many members who treasured this gentle soul so very much. Honor him and open your hearts to all!

Let us all remember that although this is sad news for some, It is a time of rejoicing for Latter-Day Saints, Our beloved Prophet has completed his journey here on earth, he is now reunited with his beloved wife. What joy he must feel for he now is freed from an aged body. Let us weep only a short time but then let us rejoice let us lift our voices so high that all the earth hears our rejoicing voices, let those who hate us trimble at the sound of our happiness we can testify unto the world of the plan of salvation through death. Death is only the last stepping stone into immortility. Yes I am saddend by the news of his passing but I rejoice too. I am ready to step forward and if tradidion follows as it has sustain President Monson as our new Prophet. Let us rejoice for he is still doing a great work only it is beyond the veil, he is now woking with Brother Joseph, Brother Brigham, John Taylor and others to still bring about the immortility and enternal life of all man kind. What President Hinckley said of Neal A. Maxwell I now say of him, "We shall probably never see the likes of one such as he again." He now enters a sphere where his joy will truly be full.

When I heard last night of Pres. Hinckley's passing, my first thought was joy that he is once again with his sweet wife. They love each other so deeply. It is always difficult to say good-bye to a loved one and my prayers are with his children and extended family. He has been such an inspiration to all of us and will be greatly missed. But oh, what a reception and celebration he must be receiving from those who are welcoming him home.

Gordon B. Hinckley was a Prophet of the Restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a man true to his faith, faithful to his family, a man who loved and unified people world-wide and sought for their relief from suffering and supported their individual redemptions and progress to become the best and most spiritual human beings possible. His passing represents a victory over death and a loss to his family and the human community.

When I think of our prophet I think of love, kindness, devotion, happiness, and hope. I love him. I am so glad he is reunited with his wife. I think I cried more when his wife died because of how sad I saw he was. Whenever he was with his wife he was always holding onto her, holding her hand, touching her in some way. I am sure he won't ever let go of her now. I am glad they are together again.

His love and devotion was so much that you could feel it and see it everytime you saw him speak. I never met him in this life but I know I knew his spirit. We all know he was greeted by his wife and the Savoir. We all know his face and kindness on this earth will be missed but what has been extended before his death will not be forgotten.

I just feel really blessed to have been alive during President Hinckley's time as Prophet. I'm so happy that he's able to be reunited with his wife again. I'm looking forward to the next Prophet and being blessed by him as well. One of the funniest guys ever to get on the pulpit at confrence. His wit and wisdom will be missed.

Would that all leaders were like Pres. Hinckley. He was optimistic, kind, humble, knowledgeable and led with love. He will be greatly missed by all.

A wonderful leader, with a kind heart and a gentle way with others. He lead in love and in a positive direction. One could not listen to him without knowing he was a good person who believed what he was saying. I am pleased to have known him and felt his love. He and my father attended school together as young boys and loved to play basketball. President Hinckley made time to send our family a note at dads passing. A heart felt display of his carring nature.

I met President Hinckley as a conference interpreter. His aura of sainthood was hard to ingore. What I loved most about him was his sense of humor. As he said, "We better take seriously that which should be taken seriously, but at the same time we can bring a touch of humor now and again. If the time ever comes when we can't smile at ourselves, it will be a sad time." He was a great example in so many ways! Rest in peace. Odihneste-te in pace! (Romanian)

President Hinckley was an amazing man. I am grateful that I got to live under his direction. He has done so much for not only the members of the church, but also the non-members. He will be missed very much, especially in our home. My 4 year old was very upset when I told him. He adored President Hinckley just as much as my husband and I

I wish that I had had the chance to meet the wonderful prophet. When I found out what had happened, I was shocked...Then I got onto my computer to find out more, and I just cried...As I am now. I know that his work here was done and that Heavenly Father had something else he needed him for. I love the Prophet, and am sorrowful that I didn't get to meet him!
