Grant's love of life, friends and a shared laugh were infectious. Grant had the ability to lift all those around him. We met Grant and Deb through CCCA soon after they bought Wet n Wild. Sailaways were always the better for Grant's affable company. He will always be remembered wherever we drop an anchor.

Grant loved his mate Tony and really enjoyed racing. Our day was him remembering his younger years and watching his mate race. Great day had by all. Thanks Tony for all your support.

It's still hard to believe he is gone.He was always around. There wasn't much we didn't do together in our school years, teens and 20's. We built hang gliders, water ski raced, did our first parachute jumps, owned a race boat together, Snow skied, drank and partied, rode motor bikes and raced them. I was there when he had his first Gyro flight before Bob crashed and destroyed it. I got into bikes because of Grant. He bought a step thru and we use to race it around the park near Grants place. We moved onto bigger bikes ( all Jap) and then he turned up with a weird bike called a Ducati. It had the bloody brakes and gear change in the wrong spots and it was a wiring nightmare. He sure loved it and it was bloody hard to keep up with him as it went around corners like it was on rails.( compared to the Japs stuff in the 60's-70's).We joined the Uni NSW bike club and had race meets out at Amaroo park. Anything to do with motors or water, Grant would be into it. He always went to the "Nth" degree when building things or doing things where other give up. He hand made the prop blade on the Gyro. He built a tunnell hulled bath tub race boat. (the First) that won most races. . He still raced bikes upto the 90's with Buckets. He did heaps more hand gliding than any of us and took it to the next level. He was a doer not a watcher. I remember sitting out at Windsor watching the Bridge to Bridge ski race and he quickly became bored and said he'd seen enough and lets go. We decided then on the trip home to do water ski racing. We had drifted apart in the past 10 years mainly because I moved away to Newcastle, but we always caught up with each other. He'd come to Lake Macquarie with Wet n Wild and we'd catch a ride. A great friend and sadly missed, but I will always remember the times we had together, be they hungover on the floor or racing at full speed behind our race boat.
Grant and Liana just a little nipper.
Deb and Grant enjoyed their life together and playing with their friends in the yachting community CCCA.
Grant at rest.....
Grant never stopped he loved his friends and enjoyed his sport. Give this man a challenge and he would take it and WIN. Amazing life with a fantastic man. I was a very lucky lady to have my best friend and soul mate by my side. We loved each other, appreciated each other, fully loved our life together.
