I write this with tears in my eyes, and a lump in my throat that just wont go away. There was something so very special about you. I recognized it the very first time I ever saw you. It was almost like your soul shine through for everyone to see. That stunning radiant smile that lit up the whole screen, yet you wernt full of ego, a humble soul who just wanted to do a great job. Those cheeky dimples that could have let you have as many women as you liked, yet you always stayed in long term relationships, until you met you soulmate. And I have no doubt your soulmate was Michelle. The way the two of you looked at each other lit up the room. Its obvious to everyone that neither of you ever stopped loving each other. Still in disbelief. You took to the camera so easily. Your portrayal of Enis DelMar in Brokeback Mountain was touching and poignant. So strong of character were you and your buddy Jake Gyllenhal to take on such roles. But the final scene of that movie showed depth and scope when you so gently fingered the edge of a postcard given to you by Jack Twist. And the tears that well up in your eyes as you thought of your buddy who you would never see again. It was touching. How prophetic, though, as now in real life the situation is reversed and we mourn your loss. I cannot even imagine how your family and close friends are managing day by day. I, a total stranger, still am in disbelief...I feel as if a member of my family had passed. You will never be forgotten. You may have shied away from the spotlight but the limelight is destined to find you even now. We miss you Heath Ledger. We will miss those boyish good looks. Too good to be true that we would get to see graying hair at your temples or watch you walk your sweet Matilda arm and arm down the isle. So, so very tragic...so, so very young to be lost to eternity. Your spirit now floats on the wind and brushes our face as a reminder you are near. I've spent many nights watching "10 Things I Hate about You" over & over just for the fact it was a great movie. My heart sunk with disbelief watching the news to see we've lost not only a great actor but a great person. Everytime I heard your name or saw some media piece on you, my eyes would fill-up,my heart aches knowing we lost such an amazing soul. I wish you could of known how many lives you've touched & for Matilda you will live within her as she is your soul. Heath, you may be laid to rest but you'll never be forgotten in the hearts of so many who have loved you. REST IN PEACE.

I'm just another one of those endless number of fans who want to have their say, even if it never gets read. People say you are in a better place, and maybe you are, but I feel you must be so sad to look over your beautiful daughter and not be able to reach out to her. I dont really know what to believe when it comes to heaven and the afterlife, but I feel that if your spirit does live on, then you are still capable of feeling all those different emotions you felt in life. With that sad, I see you grieving for your family as much as they are grieving for you. I hope you have found peace in a comforting place where you can watch over and wait for your family. I'll never forget that time when I first watched A Knight's Tale... that's when I first saw Heath... There was something incredible about him and it wasn't the way he looked. Although he resembled an angel in my opinion... It was as if he could pour his own feelings into other people's hearts. He reminded me of a child - pure and innocent, as if he couldn't and wouldn't lie to anyone, but just express himself in a way that anyone could understand... I believe he was a very good person, husband and father and it really is not fair or right for anyone to die, especially someone so young and so full of spirit and a will to live. Also I do believe he is still here within each and every person who's ever even glanced at him ; within his beloved's hearts and at the same time in a place better than our world. Although I doubt it'd be "better" if his loved ones are not by his side, maybe he's watching over them and waiting for the moment in which they would once again meet.
