It's impossible to really express in words how your death has sadened my heart. I can't even begin to imagine what your loved ones must be going through. My heart aches for them. You were an amazing actor and a great talent. I'm sure you're in heaven now, watching over Matilda and all your family and friends but we all would rather have you here on earth. My you be at peace now in Perth. May your loved ones find a way to cope with this tragic loss and remember you've just said good-bye for now and we'll see you later in Heaven. Rest in peace Heath.

Why is it that we are never truly aware of a person's quality till they are gone? I wish I had been aware of yours. Whilst we have lost you as an actor, your family have lost their father, son, brother and partner. You would be proud of the way your family has handled their grief. They have been an inspiration. May it be that your soul has been guiding them? May Matilda enjoy you as her 'guardian angel'.

You were given such a short time in which to enjoy the thing You most deserved and loved, Your daughter Matilda..., I have a daughter of a similar age and each day becomes more enjoyable as she learns new words and becomes less of a small child to more of a little lady... I so wish that You were able to enjoy Your daughter until reaching a ripe an old age! Though Matilda is very young she will always remember, love, & cherish You and the times spent together. he was a wounderful actor and i followed his career from the beginning. he was well liked and a gift from god. my heart goes out to his family and friends in this time of sorrow. i too have a two year old son and i would not know what to do if he had to grown up not knowing his father. michelle will have lots of support and i hope she can get through this hard time. my thoughts are with her and her daughter.

I watched an early interview with Heath from 1999, and he was so carefree and happy - I hope that he stayed that way with those he loved even when all the media circus got heavy going...he seemed always to love what he was doing with his art, but still keep that air of 'normal' - he certainly didn't come across as a 'celeb'! I have really been hit to the core by his death and still struggle not to cry, which seems ridiculous as he wasn't ever someone I knew or was ever likely to know. I think that his death reminded me how fragile life is and how easily and abruptly it can be ended...to make the most of every moment is something I'll strive for now more than ever and when I forget and get lost in moments of despair or frustration I'll remember his smile and how I must be thankful for the life I'm living! Take care Heath and please rest in peace xx

The first movie I saw you in was the Patriot, and I cried when your character died. As much as I have always been an enormous fan of Mel Gibson, at the end of the movie I thought, "why couldn't the father have died and the son have lived." Boo hoo, but now that sadness has come true. Heath, you were special from the start. There was something very charismatic about you. It is a tragic loss of enormous proportion to lose you.
