Still in shock. Cant believe he's gone. Loss of a great actor. Brought back all the sadness I felt when River Phoenix also passed away so tragically ....

He loved a screenplay of mine "Winter in America", based on the true story of Australian boxer Les Darcy who tragically died too soon, before he achieved his full potential. Politics prevented Heath from making the movie but I can't help thinking how truly amazing he would've been in the role. And sadly, how prophetic.

I grew up watching you as a teenager on "10 Things I Hate About You," which was one of my favorite movies at that time. You caught my attention as a young girl very quickly and easily (mind you, not just any ol' guy can do this). Your big flashy smile, your great eyes, and your great boyish laugh. What girl my age couldn't resist you? As I got older I saw more and more of your movies. And really became to respect you as an actor when I saw you in movies like "The Patriot", "Brothers Grimm", "Brokeback Mountain", and "I'm Not There". It seemed as if you had come along way, but you had finally made it. Believe me on this one. I Googled your film and acting career, you have quit a list. I guess my last bit is really to honor you as a person. Although I never knew you personally, I feel as if I had. As if, you were all those characters you played on screen all rolled into one. You have touched my life, like you have touched so many others. I am just glad to know, that when I miss you, you're only a movie away. Thank you.

Loved Heath in "Patriot", "A Knight's Tale", and "Ned Kelly". Didn't care to watch "Brokeback Mt." because I still believe God's Word says that's wrong. He was, nevertheless, very talented, and this is a tragic waste. He had so much potential! I hope he was ready to meet God. We just never know what breath may be our last. Are your ready?
