Dear Pinku Fia On this woeful day of your Passing, I would like the both us remember a happy experience together. The last time I saw you was in 2013 in the trip to India. I had a lot of fun with you and I feel I’m right that I think that you enjoyed it as well. Now, as you get ready to enter heaven and meet the gods and our past family, I would like to say a last good bye. My first advice to you is that you maintain your positive attitude and your sense of humor that you maintained throughout your life. I remember in our trip of Andaman and Nicobar of how we were able to have fun by going to many places such as beaches, museums, and hotels. In that trip, I remember you keeping all of our moods right and making sure that we never felt left out or depressed. Now I will give you the same advice that you gave us. I know that things became very stressed over time with Tania and Urnita’s studies and their future career. However, now that you get ready to leave, you must remember to stay cool and collected. Being stressed will only result in unpleasant consequences, and definitely not convenient ones, when your looking over us. Remember that everything in life is not a constant rush. The place where you are going is not accessible by us, but we will always be accessible to you for our hearts will never be able to recover after these two giant holes. The first one being Dada’s loss and the second one being yours. However, we will still be able to remember you for our hearts still reach out to you. You helped us fix our transgressions and helped us go through pain. You laughed along with us and cried when we cried. Now, you must do the same things and like Shilpi said “help us through our cloudy days.” Help Racheet out in his tennis classes, help Shilpi end well in high school and find a great university, help Sheily become successful at her University, and help me through the journey called High School. You must definitely help your brothers who don’t know what to do right now, particularly my Dad Kamlesh. He cannot help your soul rest in peace right now and is in a very emotional state. You must help your family including Urnita didi, Tanya didi and Dinesh fua as they are the most devastated out of all of us. Help all of us and we will always remember you until we start the journey that you are going through right now. Now as you go through the more fantastic trip of Heaven, I must ask you to do a favor from all of us. Remember to talk to Dada, Dadi, and Dipali fia. You must look over our family and always stay by our side. Remember to laugh at Racheet’s jokes. Remember this quote by Matsuo Basho “Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home.” It doesn't matter how long you live, it matters how you lived. If you keep living in stress like you did in your life, how will you enjoy that great trip ahead of you. Always live your life to the greatest. Remember our Andaman and Nicobar trip. Always remember US. Mehkti-Mehkti Aa…” We experience life through small moments. The moment we experience kindness, love, and happiness often times stands out the most. The best experiences and moments in my life were always with my Fia- Pinku Fia. Even though I didn’t learn her real name until just a few years ago, Pinku Fia was my closest fia and friend. I loved all the crazy stories she used to tell me every night when she came here about her childhood with my dad. I loved how all her stories used to always have a moral, an inspirational message in the end. She taught me to live life with a purpose- to inspire one another. “Jali Jati Chhonne…” Pinku Fia, your fire of motivation, your light of inspiration will always be burning. As a teacher, you have always been the person who taught us lessons from the smallest moments. I remember when I came to India, you taught me the power of education when Tania told me about the time you provided for education to the less fortunate. You taught me how important it is to get a proper education when you, yourself would help me with my math homework when you came in 2011. You taught me the importance of kindness when you never hesitated to help someone out. You taught me how there is no such thing as a “smaller person” when you appreciated the work done by all people. And now, as a star, your light will have an everlasting shine- guiding us through the darkness of the night. As a star, you will now get to see us everyday, making sure we follow the path you taught us to follow. “Jivan Dhoop Sadi, Mehkti Mehkti Aa” Pinku Fia, the smoke that comes out of your fire represents the life you lived. From being the baby model as an infant, to the inspirational figure you are today, the aroma of your smoke sends the feeling of love and belonging that you always had. Even though your life was filled with ups and downs, you had the fight and strength to go through each phase with grace and poise. You utmost love and care for every person around you inspires me everyday. And now, even though you lived a short life, your legacy will always live long.
