bud was always so proud of tyler's athletic abilities, the day this picture was taken, bud told tyler that he had already outdone both himself, and his dad aaron. Bud was so very proud of Aaron's and Sonya's kids, and he loved them all so much. What a happy day.

This is such a happy time for bud with Leeray, and April his two huskies. He loved his dogs so much, and had so much fun with them. That is one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen on his face.

The only dogs Bud ever owned were Huskies. Leo was his birthday present from mom, jenn, and dad on his 14th birthday. He begged his Mom to let him bring April home just this summer, when his friend Andrew bought a puppy and Homer went with him to pick up "Ace". There Homer found "April".

It never seems to amaze me how quickly God can change a life. I'll be praying for you all as I myself am reminded of the love and friendship that I shared with Homer. It's okay now because I know he's dancing with the angels. Kyra Godbey (Monroe, NC)

Few are the words that can express the sorrow my family and I feel for your loss. Although it has been many years, I still recall Buddy dressed in his play Army uniform, soldiering around your home in VF. "I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement and leave you only with the cherished memory of the loved and lost" Our hearts weep along with yours. My heart aches over the loss of such a sweet, wonderful young man. My son Evan and Homer were friends for years and Homer was always a true friend to Evan. Homer was such a kind hearted person, always looking to help people and so proud to be in the military. He was an excellent representation of our armed forces and an outstanding human being. I'll never forget his compassion, his sense of humor, and his smile. I pray for strength for all of Homer's family, and hope they know how many lives Homer touched and what an impact he had on so many people---he will be profoundly missed. Cynthia Thompson (Indian

My name is Donald Snook. Mr. Graham was a student in my English class this term at Cape Fear Community College. I write not only to convey my sympathy on your loss, but to tell you how much I enjoyed having him as a student. I have taught for over thirty years, and seldom have I encountered a student with such a great attitude, friendly manner, and intelligence. His classmates and I will miss him very much. Homer was a dear friend to my daughter Emily. He would come over to the house and hang out when we lived in Indian Trail. He was the only friend she wanted to invite to her birthday dinner at 19. Emily received her first speeding ticket helping out Homer and his sister. He will always be dear to our hearts. Ronda Ratliff (Hoschton, GA)

There is no sense to make of the tragedy that has come upon your family.I tried to tell my son, Jake, that God makes no mistakes and he had a purpose for Homer's life and had it not been fulfilled this tragic accident would not have happened. I also told him that Homer's life and death was not spent in vain.Your son has touched many lives. All of which need to allow this to enrich their lives and draw them closer to God. For he is the only place to find true comfort in a time like this.We don't understand why God takes such wonderful people at such a young age.We must trust in the sovereignty of God.Homer will be greatly missed by his many friends. He was deeply loved by all God allowed him to touch.I thank your family for being so accomadating to his friends during this difficult time for your family.By doing so you have shown why Homer was such a wonderful young man.I want to express to you as I did my son to look for the good in this tragedy. What good will God bring forth out of this? He will be faithful to do so. I believe the kind of person Homer was he would want us all to do so.And in so doing we will honor Homer's life. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you throughout this week and we will continue to pray for all of those hearts that loved Homer to find comfort from the One who promises to comfort those that mourn. If love could have saved you, you never would have died. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone. For a part of us went with you. The day god called you home, he saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, he closed his arms around you and whispered, "come to me." For all you went through, he saw you needed rest, thats why in God's garden he only accepts the absolute best. Thinking of you, Katie Katie Kindle (Monroe, NC)

I was deeply grieved tonight when i went to his house and found that he was not home. I had called him a few times in the last week only to get the phone going straight to voicemail and not the ususal music i hear when i call. I brought my daughter by so that she could meet him and Leo. As a few guys standing out gave me the bad news, i broke down because i never had the chance to tell him how much he touched me even in the short amount of time that i knew him. One day it about 3 months ago it was raining annd my stupid car ran out of gas on the road. Homer stopped and helped me move the car out of the road. He then gave me a lift to the gas station and spent about twenty minutes trying to get the gas cap to come off. i told him to break it if he had too but he insisted on not trying to do any damage. At last we got it to open and he followed me to the gas station to make sure i got gas. I realized that we only lived right around the corner from each other and as soon as i gased up, i went around to his house and met Michael and Leo. I said that Leo looked like a bear. I still called him that when i stopped by. Since then i had managed to stop by atleast a few times throughout the week. The last time i seen him was when he was going to drill. I went by his house and asked about Leo who was on vacation in Charlotte. I promised to be back in touch with him after that but managed to let almost a month go by before stoping by and getting in touch again. I feel really guilty for that because no matter how long or short my stay or call was, he always managed to ask me how i was doing and seemed very geniune in doing it. I did not know alot about him but he always treated me nice and i could tell that he was so very unique and different in a good way. He obviously was not a person who lived by prejudicism in any way. Had that been the case, i would never had been truly blessed to have him cross my path on that rainy day. He seen that i was in help and he came to my aid. I am so very glad that he did. To his family, i am deeply sad for your loss and to friends and family who i know loved him so much, I say a prayer for you that God may make you strong in your time of weakness. i remember the night he got a fish hook in his leg at scout camp. i had to take him to the emergency room to have it removed, and he hated needles......later that night, he came in my tent, and said "dad can i sleep with you tonight:". i lay awake all night holding my baby and marveling at the great gift that god had given me. i miss you son, and love you more than words could ever express. love dad

Miss Me -- But Let Me Go Unknown When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom-filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little--but not too long And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me--but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone. It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart Go to the friends we know And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss Me--But Let me Go!

The picture says it all, SFC Proctor ordered his driver PVT Balke to slam on the breaks, more than likely to take this picture, and it was all I could do not to run them over. lol Notice the underwear tied to the antena above PFC Graham's head. We'll remember you always.

What a guy! I met him while teaching a driver's training class so he could drive for the CPT. He never took anything too serious, yet I could tell he had a firm grasp on the things that really mattered. I was in Ft. Rucker, AL when I found out he was gone. It's always heartwrenching to lose one of our own. What I wouldn't give for a unit full of PFC Grahams. Our family will continue to pray for yours.
