Being so public about your illness has raised awareness of cervical cancer and many young woman have had and will now have smears or keep follow-up appointments when they perhaps wouldn't have done and as a result many lives will be saved and many people will not have to go through what you did and this is your legacy. Many people who are not famous suffer and sadly lose their battle with cancer but you were able to your our celebrity status to do good for others when you could have simply hidden away feeling sorry for yourself. I admire your strength, courage and bravery. Deciding to be so public has also provided financial gains which your children will benefit from and given that you were sometimes laughed at for being 'stupid', you were a canny business woman and was anything but stupid. Your boys will be so proud when they understand how great their mummy was. Rest in peace. Jo x

The most hated person turned into the most loved person. Her warmth and strength made her for who she was. I'm sad for the way she had left this world, with pain and suffering, but i'm glad she is where there is no pain and no-one can harm her anymore. My thoughts are with her family and dear friends.
