I was not a fan of Blues or guitar specialists as a teenager, so hearing that Jeff healey was coming to my hometown in the early 90's was not something on my to see list. But, my boss at the time raved about him constantly at work and bought me a ticket. So I went but didn't expect much of the experience. It was the single most influential experience of my life. His closing of "See The Light" (at the time I hadn't even heard the song yet) was INSANE. Jeff, Thank you so very much for the music. It will always be with me. R.I.P

I loved listening to Jeff Healey. Especially on Jazz Fm when he played the old records. It reminded me of listening to my dads old 75s and the music he loved. Peace.

Jeff Healey was one of the greats. He made real heartfelt music in a time of synth pop & hair metal. He was the real deal. Another six-stringer called home.

I first saw him on a video either Mtv or VH1. His guitar style blew me away and I told everybody I knew to check him out. I bought every CD he released. He filled the void left by the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. He was an awesome blues player and I can't understand why God takes the great ones. R.I.P..........

R.I.P. Jeff Healy your now in BLUES HEAVEN with HAAKIE my best friend who died. Jeff knew Haakie & I met Jeff in London at the Sheperds Bush Empire 2000 I introduced myself in the Dressing Room as Haakie's Brother & Jeff said "You don't Look like Haakie's Brother" Which got EVERYBODY LAUGHING. I have made a TRIBUTE to Haakie Website in Memory & there is a GREAT JEFF HEALY page in the Music Section - http://pic7.piczo.com/tributetohaakie/ Dave Tothill from England

“Feel This” was the perfect title to describe Jeff's music...for when Healey graced the strings of his guitar, you FELT WHAT HE PLAYED! It cut right through you. Few people will ever come along and leave such an everlasting mark on all of us who strive to do our best playing the guitar...I'm talking about the kind of influence that inspires us to change direction....and also to reshape our approach to the way we play, taking much more notice of TONE & DYNAMICS. Jeff Healey not only did that but also gave some of us guitar pickers who had been slacking a good reason to get excited and pick the guitar back up. Most of us will never do what Jeff did with the precision that he did it but his influence on all of us that listened to his music will NEVER die! His trademark style & hot licks put him in a league with Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and other artists who have that special ability to make a guitar cut through your flesh, deep into your soul! My whole family loves Jeff Healey's music and it's played countless hours in my home and driving down the highway. I only got to see him once in Tulsa. During one of his songs, he walked to the very edge of the stage. I was in the front and jumped up there in front of him to cushion his fall, thinking he was going to take one more step. It didn't happen and I felt somewhat silly later but I wasn't gonna let him fall off that stage and hit the hard ground. My condolences to all of Jeff's family, band members and close friends. The world mourns with you during the loss of a wonderful musician. My heart goes out to all of you. We’ll Leave The Light On in the window.

Jeff's feeling for playing the notes, which he could not see, is what really hit me. Guitar players who can see rely on their eyes to play. Jeff relied on his heart to play!!

My deepest condolences go out to Jeff's family at this most difficult time. My own father just passed from cancer.....what a horrible disease, yet one Jeff endured his entire life. What an inspiration you are & what a legacy you leave behind. I had the pleasure of seeing Jeff & his band play at a bar in Raleigh, NC. WOW.....what a show!!!! He honored me with an autographed guitar pick, which I still have. May you have many awesome jam sessions w/ SRV, Hendrix, Duane & the rest of the gifted artist you are now with in heaven. RIP Jeff....we'll miss you & your special gift.

Jeff has gone on to play with the other greats that have passed too soon. Play on my blues brother ! Heaven just added an awesome band member. Very few are left that put the true heart and soul into blues music the way he did. God bless him and his family.

For a blind man, Jeff Healey saw a hell of a lot more about the human condition than many of us ever will in our lifetimes. Thank you Jeff for all the fantastic music you gave so generously to us - your lyrics from the heart, your music from your rockin' soul. Peace be with you Jeff - now's the time to let the good Lord bring all of the rest of your "Dreams Of Love" to fruition. I love you and I will miss you very much Jeff....
