I miss dad especially when I go back to the house at Kingsgrove.I miss the occasional scotch we'd share at the end of the day sitting out on the front patio. He was always interested in the union business I was up to-I'd always stay with him and mum after a Teachers Federation meeting. He taught me to swim and he bought me a beautiful guitar(that I still play) . He taught me to appreciate the power of music and poetry-especially that of Henry Lawson. To have lived through the years of the Great Depression, the 2nd World War and the years of prosperity in Australia that followed was a blessing-he had a full and incredible life. I witnessed his last breath on this earth and I hope and pray that if there's a life after this, that he's enjoying it to the full.

Steve and I where probbaly the last crew that John sailed with on 16's. Some intersting rides on the bay in his later years. He always had a smile and a laugh as long as there was a scooner of black at the end of the race. Sad to see him go he was a true champion with a hell of a lot of years of experience.

To Blebbo, A great sailor and a true gentleman, Thank you for all of the years of sailing and friendship. You are one of the best , and you gave us such wonderful experiences sailing, laughing, talking, drinking and regretting not putting on the small rig....You are always in our hearts especially when we feel the sea breeze. Love and wonderful memories from the Anderson-Smiths (Glenn, Betsy, Cameron and "Sweet Lorraine").

To Deborah and her family. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
