Julie and I met when studying for a Diploma of Education at Sydney University. She was very enthusiastic and funny and so very intelligent that it was a natural step to get friendly with her. She was always kind and helpful to me and I got my first teaching gig through her and so worked for Robert. That was a marvellous start to my new illustrious career. Also, one other aspect I clearly remember was the love and support she had for her girls and their education. She was the most giving and involved mother you could want. My sympathy and best wishes to her family.

Camdenville Kindy Class Circa 1988 - Julie organised a Mother's Day art day where pupils drew or painted their mums. We then framed these for sale to parents. With her excellent eye and artistic knowledge, it was a revelation to see the pictures through her humorous analyses, and she was always great fun to work with. There are other good memories of Julie as well, but this was the first one that comes to mind. Sincere condolences to all the family. Suzan
