So sad to hear the news. My belated condolences to Agneta, Josef and Kristin. I shared an apartment with Kevin and other Australians, in istanbul in the 1970s. so often I have thought of Kevin, his talent, his New Zealand friend Leslie and the side splitting laughter that Kevin's wicked sense of humor always resulted in. What a sad loss, I have wanted to find Kevin for many years and yesterday a photo of Kevin, in Istanbul fell out of a book. I left the search too late and for that I am so sorry. My best wishes to his family.

Kevin and I shared a variety of accomodation when we taught at Kila Kila. We spent many great hours dancing in Sydney and POM. I have such great memories of living on the end doing things I now would not dream of now. I hope the world continues to produce such wonderful characters like Kevin Lane.

I was very saddened to hear only today of your loss of Kevin, but am glad to have found this weblink where I can send my thoughts and condolences to you all. I have met each of you in Doha at some time or another 2004-06, although it may be difficult for you to remember me amongst Kevin's many friends. I have such fond memories of visits to Kevin's 'Aladdin's Cave' of a home and of sharing wonderful times and many delicious dinners there. I have no doubt he will be cooking up a storm wherever he may be now and laughing and dancing to a good Bollywood movie. I am happy to have one of Kevin's small paintings, an Arab Adam and Eve one (very cheeky, of course), that hangs in the entry hall to my home in Perth, which I will continue to treasure. Kevin was a talented artist and, indeed, artist of life. He will be much missed by all of us who knew him at QP and became his friends. My love and sincerest sympathy to you all, Sherril Clarke (Perth, Australia)
