first heard this great voice in 1990. and when lucky came to ireland in 2004 it was us who were lucky. a brilliant performer, his lyrics gave us an insight into his soul, his music was happy and uplifting. hard to believe its a year already. love and respect to lucky dube for his good works, to his family, his band the slaves and backing singers, thank you all.

If I explain how lucky dube improved my life it will take year for me to finish,my heart is still sore especially when I know we approching for the complete one year since his tragedy death may almighty God rest his soul in peace.

Whenever, I read comments about Lucky Dube there are always respectful things being said about him, but South Africans never show their appreciations for this man other countries did like my Liberia and other African countries and western countries but as he said when he is alive nobody knows his name and he never got this much love and praise but now he is dead every Rasta man praise his name, you never missed the water in the well until it runs dry, you never know what u have till u lose it all. I knew what I have that is why I have never been afraid to tell people who is my favorite musician whenever people asked me do you listen to reggae I say yes, "I listen to Lucky Dube and Bob Marley, no offends but Lucky Dube is my favorite musician including reggae blc he had more message in his songs than Bob and his songs touch the soul which is understood because what Lucky have been through are things that Bob could not express to the point it will bring tears to one eyes. Bob and Lucky reggae can never be replaced. Even though, I have been listening to Bob and Tosh since 1985 when I was five but I find myself more in love with Lucky than Bob and Tosh. One may asked how can Lucky be her favorite musician especially reggae musician when it is Bob and Tosh that inspired Lucky? But that the way it is. I have been listening to him since 1990, eighteen years later I am still listening to him, I will always listen to him as long as I live and he will always be my favorite musician.
In 1990, u help me through the death of my brother and our civil war in your song "Remember Me," it help me not to forget those I have left back home as I took refuge in Sierra Leone. Sometime I tried to not listen to your music because whenever I do I tend to cried. We needed someone like u in our lives who practice what he preached, never drank, did drugs or smoke and majority of ur band members are people u had since I have been knowing u form 1990 until ur death, this shows u treated people around u with love and respect to the point they wanted to work for u for the rest of their lives. HAPPY 44TH BIRTHDAY, On Saturday night I told myself tomorrow is Lucky Dube Birthday and I am going to celebrate by playing his music form the morning to the night and for 14hours I have been playing ur songs and still playing them, especially "Jamaica" because I do not want to mourn u but celebrate ur life and this song provide such atmosphere, the beat, tone, rhythm and etc, it is a beautiful song, "I WANT TO TAKE U TO JAMAICA U AFRICAN LADY, I GONE TO MARRY U, U GOING TO BE THE REGGAE MAN WIFE", and not forgetting the song "Celebrate Life", IT IS A GIVE OR TAKE THE WORLD SO U GOT TO TAKE WHILE U CAN, WHEN U CAN MAKE THE BEST OF IT. I have done that by making it my duties to get a Master degree.
