no of the days passed by you are not missed. I wish heaven
had a phone,so you could send me a message to tell me you are
well. I would do anything to have you back to give me a big
cuddle and kisses. It broke my heart to lose you. If I
could turn back time I would turn it back a year, to see
your smiling face. Thank you for the happy times we shared,
the love you gave, the way you cared. You left a place in my
heart that no-one can fill. you never ever leave my
thoughts. Today was so hard, what is even harder is knowing
that you are not coming home, it has totally completely hit
me. Just one more hug one more chance to say I love you and
to say how proud I am of you.

I am devasted by the news, which I just received today. Thanks for sending me the card. I will share with Mick's other friends that I know.
Michael was one of my best friend's at Sydney uni where we both endured law school (with many a mis-adventure!!!) and he was one of a very small group of people from uni that I remained friends with til present.
I can say that I am responsible for suggesting a trip to the (then) tiny town in Northern Thailand called Pai, where Mick met Renata and eventually began family life.
Whilst perhaps somewhat damaged by the bike accident, Mick still had a very positive attitude to life and to people from all walks of life. He faced life standing up, with courage. We loved his intellectual curiosity (what a way with words and language!) and enquiring mind, as well as just being an alright decent bloke and capability to talk to anyone about anything, with humour and wit.
I sent him mixed tapes and CD's over the years as we shared an appreciation for music, music of all kinds, but I guess generally waht's called 'music for outsiders', but always music that was human and direct and spoke to the heart, rather than fashion. Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd was the common denominator.
I wish Renata, Nick and Rebecca all the best in life.
Mick, we'll never forget you mate.

I knew you only briefly at uni, and then used to run into you occasionally in Sydney. In the funny way that things work, you then worked for a short time with John. We both remember you as a lovely guy, always thoughtful and a good conversationalist. We were so sad when we heard the news today, for you, and your family and friends. We hope that you are at peace.

We knew you for a very short time, you left a huge impression on us. When the bad news of your passing came we were so sad. You had a nature that was so deep, you were clever, loving, warm and always searching. Your mum and dad are missing you because you were their boy, we miss you because you were you. Wear your cap as you did where ever you may travel. Now you have achieved the peace you so desired. Rest well Mick.
Peace be with you.
Always in our thoughts

To a friend and former work colleague,
I know the life you lived and the pain you went through, I will always remember the long talks we had during our walks and over many espressos Michael. I admire your bravery although I will never understand it.
I can not be there on Friday mate, I will be away working and could not swing the time off, but I will be there in spirit.
Sleep well my friend, you have earned it.
