The problems I had with colour wheels, I thank you for the help and critical views. Love You- David and the other Mosses (Peter, Bob, Barbara, Joan and young Barbara.

Mum was an amazingly curious woman. As a child she wanted to know how everything worked then as an adult, she wanted everything to work without knowing how. Mum and the family told us stories of the mischief she got into in grandpa’s shed. This continued into resent years, with her wishing to author full DVD productions without first grasping basic computer skills. So just as she had terrified her father by wanting to do wood carving before he got-out safe tools, so she exasperated us by her desire to take giant steps. Grandpa use to chided that mum's enthusiasm led her where angels feared to tread. Mum came from a family heritage with deep artistic talent, her paternal-grandfather being a boot maker, magician and seascape painter, her maternal-grandfather being the chief designer for Shelly China in the 1890’s. Mum devoted her life to her art. From a childhood of drawing fairies in the garden; to window designing for Mark Foyes; to the animation of Berty in the well known Aeroplane Jelly commercials; to the liberation of acrylic paints as watercolours for capturing the sea and her beloved fishing boats. She ran our childhood home rather like a art school with paintings and art projects under way in every room, drawing out our creativity. This experience developing a lifelong love of the arts and pursue careers in the arts. P.T.O The family has taken comfort from the recognition by her peers of mum’s contribution to the Arts and Artists. It was heartening to read emails from her friends. One of her colleagues in Adelaide wrote about mum being so giving in her knowledge of Art; being prepared to share her ideas and techniques generously with others. Mum always loved the Australian bush and met dad through bush-walking with the Youth Hostel Association. She continued this love through many of her paintings, returning regularly to her childhood love of Oatley Park for painting and sketching trips. Mum was a child of the depression, which set her up with the ability to live a frugal life. When dad was injured while we were young, mum had to feed and raise us with very little money, knitting and sewing a lot of our clothing . Mum was involved in the campaign for the widow’s pension, as it exists today. Before this, there was minimal support for single parents. While some minister’s may have found mum a theologically irritating spiritual gypsy, attending many of her local churches, mum’s faith was an eternal rich spring at the centre of her life. Mum leaves a legacy of art works gracing homes and offices across Australia and Overseas, and a devoted group of artists that have been touched by her knowledge and training.
