I've not had a word with Brun since July 1969 when I left behind the most wonderful group of people to pursue a different path in life. I knew Pete, as a close and very good friend from 1964 to 1969; how well I still remember walking up Bellevue Hill Road nearly every Saturday night after a few drinks at the Sheaf or Oaks singing Three German Officers Crossed the Rhine. The choruses rang loud and long and Peter was always at the forefront with a new verse. Football and snooker at Easts would not have been as enjoyable if not for Peter and his fabulous sense of humour. Those years still remain as the happiest of my life and Brun was a major contributor. Last year, at Woolahra Golf Club, I caught up with some of that fabulous mid 60's group for the first time since '69. I should have caught up with him and now will always regret the fact. To his wife and children, whom I've never met, my heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences. with love Cal Shaw

I meet Peter in 6th Class at Scots College he was a guy who attracted lots of friends at school. Unfortunately we lost contact from then on. I’m not sure if he went on to the “main school” however we was always friendly to me and we got on well. I’m very sorry to hear about his untimely passing and wish to express my condolences to his family. God Speed mate Regards Michael Doctor, oziedoc@yahoo.co.uk
