Frank mentioned to me that he was given the "nickname" Gasparticus. But, I had no idea it was you- Rob! thanks for sharing that story. It means alot. You and the other soldiers were his brothers, making his dream unfold before his life. Thanks to you and others for being his brother, father, friend and comrade. He truly loved each of you. I pray for your strength, your healing and just know that Frank's famiy is your family. We love to have "chin digs" so when your in CA or when we go to CO to visit Dustin & Victoria, just expect there will be a "chin dig" with all that home made good cookin'. Until then, keep on Rollin on ! Love and God bless each of you!

I remember just before we left for OIF V, the movie "300" waqs coming out. We were all anxious and hoping that our flight would be delayed long enough so that we all would get a chance to see it. As usual, the Air Force was running late, and we were able to go see it just a day or two prior to flying. Frank and I did not see it together, but certainly talked about it much. It was a story about soldiers... dedicated to their country, and willing to fight to the death to defend it. It was around this time that I came up with Frank's nickname, "Gasparticus". He was a soldier, dedicated to his principles, morales, and his brothers in arms. Movies about that period of time always portrayed the caracters as warriors! I thought it was fitting that Frank had a "warrior's" name... plus, it just sounds bad ass! I miss you, Frank... you are with me everyday in every step I take. I will carry you until the end of time, as a warrior deserves.

Babe~ I am and have always been so proud of you in everything you have ever done, I dont think you realize what an impact your life has had to many people. I dont think you ever knew how many lives you have touched in the short time you were with us, I love and miss you so much ! You are my guardian angel and I know you are looking over us everyday and I talk to you everyday and I know you hear me. I will be in CA after I move so I can go visit you. I promise babe no matter what I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO SEE YOU. It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes about loss...." do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there I did not die" ... I love you with all my heart and soul " I miss my friend"

I just got home from the Christian LIfe Center production in honor of our FLAG, SSG FRANK GASPER and our ARMED FORCES. What tribute it was for our Community in Merced, friends and family, even from out of town to celebrate what all our Armed forces, retired, veterans, and active men and women do for us, our country and others. I felt so proud to be amongst such grateful people, who respect and honor what our Military does for us. And to remember that we are United one Nation, UNDER GOD, and because of Jesus he paid the price for our Soul that we could be free, and for the Soldier that paid the ultimate price so that we could have FREEDOM! Frank you have truly changed not only a community, but a NATION and WE THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR US. YOU PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR OUR FREEDOM, and others FREEDOM! My heart aches for all your comrades, those families who are in this same club that our family is in. We are in this club, not by choice but by the price that was paid by you, and many other Soldiers! I give CLC, Joanne James, Sandy, and all her members of her church a standing ovation for the wonderful job they did in honoring our Hero, our SON SSG Frank Gasper. Because of this production we can stand tall, proud and know that our HERO is just not our HERO but the hero of many people! We thank GOD for the 25 years that he gave us Frank. For the impact in our community, our Nation, and for the gratitude that is felt because of your selfless act. We are so proud to be AMERICAN, and SSG FRANK GASPER we SALUTE YOU! You may be gone, BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! May GOD SHED HIS GRACE ON US. OUR COUNTRY and MAY we turn our hearts to JESUS and TURN this NATION around once again unto HIMSELF< JESUS CHRIST WHO DIED FOR OUR SINS!

I remember one Thanksgiving after stuffing our bellies full of turkey, mash potates and all the fixings,Frankie started telling all the family that were sitting around him about his...CAR! yes he loved it! he said "Tia you want to hear how loud it is? i said "not really!" and he said "well you will when I leave!" with a big smile on his face! and he didn't say buy --no all I heard was a loud rumble and as I looked out the door--all I saw was a hand waving out the window! Then to make his exit better--ya he burned rubber I think is what you call it?! clouds of stinky black smoke came from his tires and all I could think was-- Ay Muchacho! :) And yes I did think it was pretty cool! It seemed to be the way he left Abuelitas house because I remember him burning rubber and screaching down the street on many occasions after that! Now, when ever I haer a screaching car that is "burning rubber" I smile and think of Frankie and his big proud smile!

My life has changed so much in such a little time. You made me really proud. I miss your instant messages to let me know your thinking of me. I miss your calls! I have your big smile in my heart.

Since the moment Frank and I have met we have been inseperable. We've shared some good times together, One of the most memorable memories for me was when frank proposed to me. I remember him being so nervous that day and I couldnt understand why, he just told me that he was nervous about his going away party. Frank loved giving suprises and he defintly suprised me that day. Before he asked me to marry him he went over to my parents house for dinner alone with them while I was at work, He asked them if it would be alright if he married me and my dad said " I would be honored for you to be my son in law," the night of his going away party, frank stood up and asked for everyones attention. and asked me to sit down beside him. he gave a little speech about him going to boot camp with high expectations but he wanted to leave with a bigger one. he then knelt down and asked me to marry him, I was shocked and it was the happiest moment of my life! as I looked over to the already knowing parents and my soon to be in laws they were happy to see this moment in our lives.... there have been so many more good memories with frank that we have shared and I would not change on single second of my time with him. we were married on December 20th 2002 and every minute spent with frank was the happiest of my life, he is my soulmate and the love of my life. God may have taken you from me frank but no one can take the memories we have shared together, I love you with all my heart and I miss you so much my bunches

when he stayed with my family. one night I got his belt and some duck tape and tied frank up to the bunk bed. First his feet then his wrist. The only thing I could not tie up was his 1 hand he was holding the phone with talking to his girlfriend. After I was done. I left him to go do some thing. There he was, he could not move because I had duck him to tied up to the bunk bed lol. Then he told me to get him loss. So he said now be careful take my knife and cut the tape but don't cut yourself, well what did I do. I poked him in the foot with the knife. Then he said maybe mike should cut me loss. he was the only guy who has ever let me tie him up. he was like another brother to me. he was always so kind to me.
