I first saw Heath in Ten Things and immediately was bowled over by his charm, smile and screen presence. I followed his career from then on in and remember feeling extremely proud hearing everyone talk about his outstanding performance in The Dark Knight before the terrible tragedy. I couldn't help but think 'I saw something in him from the very beginning'. I can't begin to describe my devastation on hearing the news of his passing. I never knew, met or had any connections with the man and yet it felt like I had lost something so important in my life, that the world was no longer the same. I still miss him and am not sure how I will react to seeing his final performance in the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassas. I know I will see it but I am sure he experience will be emotional. However I am determined that my thoughts and memories of Heath remain positive and that he acts as a long term inspiration for me, his work, family, accomplishments and his words thankfully remain with us and his spirit stays alive in fans like me, as I know we will never forget him. RIP Heath, you are forever missed but never forgotten x x

The first time I ever heard of Heath Ledger was in that hilarious movie "10 Things I Hate About You". I fell in love. He was one of my favorite "stars" and he always will be. I wish I had known him personally for he seemed so real and so wonderful, inside. I will sure miss him. I would have loved to have watched him grow old making movies. So sad, I give my condolences to all of you who knew him personally. You will see him again.

Through out the years i have watched various films and never really acknowledged heath. It was only until i has watched the oscar winning brokeback mountain that i have now become so intrigued in his working. What a lovely man.. A shame the heavens had to take him at the peak of his career and i only wished i would have respected and looked into how much of a superstar he actually was at the time. I have read small biographies on him and i take my hat off for the determination and yearning he had in life, goals he reached, a family he made, respect he earnt and amazing memories he has now left us with. Rest in peace heath and i hope one day when im up there too, i can shake the hand of a man i can actually look up too. You are a big inspiration for young actors out there and i hope where ever you are, you can look down and see that your spirit is still within the people dearest to you xx

Mr. Ledger was as brilliant as his performances. In one of his inteviews, he said he never had any 'money' and was happy without it- and that he wouldn't be taking any of it with him when he passed away. He has opened threshold's of adoration- newfound and otherwise. An exceptional gifted human being of such qualities- many of us shall never emcompass. The depth of his persona was so vast- but who knew; he also said that after he dies-"To let the people judge what 'type' of person he was by his movies. Well, Mr. Ledger- you certainly shall never be forgotten in the hearts and souls of those who were privileged to see his performances. Mr. Ledger has gone down as a 'Legend'. I was deeply saddened by his passing and remain so since Jan. 22, 2008. For many people- the Earth stood still for a man who cannot be replicated. To those who knew him personally, I do not know how [they] could have 'went on', suffering a tremendous loss of an individual who made many, many people happy.- Michael

I love Heath's work, he was truly an inspiration to others. I've heard it said that his career was defined not always by the roles he took, but the ones that he passed on. Very fitting. His role as the Joker was so raw, gritty and real, easily my favorite. Like other fans, I felt like I knew him, and was deeply saddened by the news that he was gone. Even now, a year later, I get teary-eyed when I see an interview with him, or the images taken after his death. My thoughts and prayers will always go out to his family and his beautiful daughter. Thank you, Heath, for the amazing work you did.

I have to say that I have followed his career, and was so glad to hear that he was going to be in the Dark Knight. then to hear that he was gone, I know that I spent alot of time crying for Michelle and Madeline, I know, having lost my father, that all little girls need and want that contact with Daddy.....
