Pauline, Kev, Col, Dean and Karen, Dont really know what to say? Only much love to you all, your dad was such a nice man, I think I used to get on his nerves coz everytime I saw him I used to say to him "you used to deliver my milk when I was 9" Then only for me to move to Irlam and meet his boys and later for Colin to become my sons godfather and Dean to become a close friend! So Mr Knipe I would like to thank you for having to great boys that came into my life! I know you will be sadly missed by my dad and brother propping up the bar in the Sports! Have a good old drink with Mike and look after him! Good night and god bless Hayley Byrne xxxx

I spent so many years growing up in the knipey household, i felt like one of the family. Pauline shouting and fighting with the lads and there mates, i will never forget the time she threw that dart in my arse !! , and you kev every now and then you would say "keep the noise down " as you studied the football and cricket scores, your mind full of sport trivia. More recently the holidays we shared with you and your family, remember the day me you and col went sight seeing in Torquay, we only saw the in side of every pub, and pauline grounded you !!!!! ha that lasted all of two minutes ! . You were a true friend to me and someone i looked up to, more more importantly a great husband to pauline and a great father to kev colin dean and kaz, take care of them from above pal forever in our hearts, Steve, wife Bev and all the kids x x x x x x x x x x x x

Karen, Thank you for posting 'Don't Weep for Me'. When you showed it me yesterday, I think you and Pauline realised that it encompasses all that I feel about why we are here. Kevin and Joe were with us so strongly yesterday. Do take comfort from the fact that though their bodies are no longer with us, their spirit, (their light, their love) never dies, and their passing, though it breaks our hearts, makes us stronger to cope in this hard learning journey called Life. My Love always Melda xxx

Just a short message to all the family at this time, especially this week with the arrangements for friday. We are thinking of you all deeply and the blessing yesterday on the moss was a very special thing to do especially with the vicar attending, a lovely memorial spot for all the family to visit and even all kevins friends in time. It was really touching !!!! God bless and be with you xxxxxxx Annette and Phil xx

DON'T WEEP FOR ME Don't weep for me, for it was time To slip life's bonds and soar and climb To brighter realms, well known before, Where all is light and love is law. Do not grieve for what is past, For bodies are not made to last. Expendable. Their only role A growing medium for the soul. Don't store my books, don't wear my rings Or cling to clothes or other things Of sentimental value for You do not need them anymore. Browse through my photos for awhile, But only if they make you smile And call to mind how much we cared, The things we did, the times we shared. But do not sigh and wish them back Or dress yourself in hopeless black, For clouds will part and lark will rise. The wheel must turn to make us wise. And this is how 'twill ever be I'm part of you, you're part of me. At every dawning's golden flare, Each velvet nightfall, I'll be there. On woodland walk, by tossing sea Some elemental part of me Will ride the wind and sing its song For each to each we all belong. Your happiness will set me free. Beloved, do not weep for me.

The fastest milkman in the west? Shocked & saddened by this. I'll always remember Kev as a top runner, a good quizzer & especially a true red. Really glad he got to see United win the Champions league again! I want to echo everything that John Bird's just said. Tony Mundey.

I remember Kev first as a runner, I have checked my running diary and totted up the miles ran with Kev. It was getting on for two thousand miles, side by side in training and with me miles behind in marathons. Next he was a red through and through with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of results and match details going back forty years and more. Last but not least he was a quizzer. He knew what he called ‘daft things’ besides normal general knowledge. A few times it was these ‘daft things’ that gave our quiz team the edge. Such as being the only one in the room to know that the steam engine Mallard was designed by Sir Nigel Gresley Kev may have passed away but he is not gone. He is still here in our memories.

I called you Mr Knipe all my life out of respect for you. You have been a role model not just to your sons and daughter, but to me as an adopted knipe. I need you to still keep an eye on me, so i can be a good dad to baby lacey. One thing you have given me to take through my life, is the happyness it brings me to say " i`m your mate". Take it easy Mr Knipe and enjoy the beutifull family you have created.

The angels sang "Amazing Grace". The Lord came down and touched your face. He held your hand and whispered low, "Come with me, it's time to go". The gates of heaven opened wide. The Angels lined up side by side. A special guest was on his way. The day they took my Grandad away. Love you and miss you always XXXX Kesha, Coral & Cora Knipe
