Kev When we talked about you retiring we said you wouldn't do it yet, that we would grow old together....you got out of that one good style. Well you're with your mate Frank now, going to different pubs, chatting about stupid things...the way you used to. You could be in a load of company, but just you two would chat amongst yourselves. I bet you're the best looking one up there, but you can't see it yourself, can you Knipey. If only Sam could talk! I'll speak to you again....theres none of that lovey dovey stuff in this message....you would think I was going soft. I'll miss you, you were too young to go. Lots of Love Pauline xxxx

This site is about memories so i will tell u a few of mine about a man who i was very proud to call my dad or "eh kev" when his selective hearing kicked in which happened a few times at the bar. HIS LOVE OF UNITED My mate rob brought a mate of his from uni to irlam who had a large tattoo of liverpool fc on his leg . We all decided to go to my mums ,my dad answered the door me and rob walked in and my dad stopped robs mate coming in and said to him "u cant cum in here mate this is old trafford" I do believe my dad thought it was old trafford for a minute. DRESSED FOR ALL OCCASIONS I went to magorca with zoe and the kids my mum and dad were coming over for a week i knew what time he was due so i went to reception the weather was 100 plus . the coach pulls up people started getting off in shorts and t shirts then my dad walks off in black pants and shoes shirt and coat on i said to him "dad its over 100 degrees " he replied "it wasnt when i left manchester" i just shook my head in disbelief THAT LOOK My dad never hit me rarely bollocked me . I was about 14 so it was the mid 80s everyone was into taggin me and a unnamed person went to town just to rob markers, we got caught they said they will ring up my mum & dad . I went home there was only my dad in doing his milk book . i just sat there for about half an hour i said " im off out" he turned round looked at me straight in the eye and said "where do u think your going " it worked because i never returned to manchester shoplifting. DEANS MATES AND MINE WERE HIS. My dad enjoyed the company of most .He sorted days and nights out to the dogs football and cricket . one occasion we went to the the football maine road infact 12 of us u know who u are we all got smashed and i met a certain girl called zoe. dad love and miss you forever colin

We fought as children We went our own ways And then as the days Passed, and we lived own own lives Grief and tragedy called, parents died And we were not the same I vowed to see you more often, this family of mine Because one never knows when it is the last time And each time we met We went down Memory Lane Often with humour, sometimes with pain Mr Memory Man knew names, dates and places It brought it all back, we could see all the faces The people, events, that shaped us and our lives Serve to remind us that love never dies As the family cling to each other Mother, sister, cousin, brother The love shines bright and clear and true As we look at each other We see them in you They are still part of us all of our days We feel them around in so many ways As I stood on the path where you left this life I looked up at the skies, so clear and blue And asked those that had passed, to take care of you It was so sudden, so shocking, the way that you went But in the rich tapestry of life, this is how it was meant Now in the Light, our brother Joe you will meet And I know both of you young, lived a life complete Good Nut Nut Love you forever Melda

As I walk down Memory Lane With tears that sting my eyes It's far too soon to remember you Too early for "Goodbye's" Your Laughter and your humour Brought smiles upon my face I loved your cheeky comments And the jokes you always made I remember as a child I would play with prams and dolls You would say "put them away" And learn to score some goals We'd play football in the kitchen Where you would head the ball Sometimes it hit the light bulb And bounce back on the wall You would play at "Goalie" And I would have to score But you always made the save And I would play no more I never spent much time with you As I wanted to You had your own family To love and cherish you The times we were all together Brought gladness to my heart The warmth of a loving family I was so lucky to be part Goodnight and God Bless Kevin From your little sister Margaret and Brother in Law Barry
