"Earth hath no sorrows that heavens cannot heal" JC - It's quite disheartening that we refuse to give respect to personalities of this class in our continent. We hope that this attitude will depart from our blood stream someday soon. We are living in a CRAZY WORLD.

Memories of Lucky Dube in Uganda 1999. When Lucky Dube (RIP) came to Uganda and we struggled to catch a glimpse of him but many failed because of the congestion. Music was sound and memorable.

I wish to join the millions of people in the world in celebrating the life of lion of Judah life " Lucky Dube the mega star who brought so much joy Lucky Dube did so much for the continent both as an artist and as freedom fighter. Through his music he inspired and brought hope to the millions of young peple and struggling masses. His love for Uganda " the pearl of Africa" was unequalled and he couldnt hide it, recently when asked ,if he was to choose another home apart from South Africa, and answered proudly without mincing words Uganda .Even when he visisted the Big Brother Africa 1 ,he went sharight to Gaetano greeted him in Luganda and told him how he loved Uganda to the amusements of the other housemates. We will miss him and he will always remain in our hearts.

Lucky Dube performed at the Drum in Birmingham this year. It was Freedom Day, April 27th - the South African holiday that celebrates and commemorates the first democratic post apartheid elections...how lucky were we to celebrate that day with Lucky Dube! For those of you present that evening - didn't we Celebrate Life! And what a life - Lucky your music survives as does your great spirit. We praise you. We honour you. We love you.

I saw Lucky perform in Boston several years ago. The original venue for the performance was flooded, and the concert was nearly canceled. A new but very cramped venue was found. The show went on very late, on a stage that barely allowed elbow room for the musicians. Lucky was brilliant and generous in his performance, and somehow found room to dance in an impossibly tight space. He graciously spoke to us after the show. I am a music journalist -- I had always hoped to interview Lucky. May he rest peacefully. My condolences to all who knew and loved Lucky, especially his family.

Luke, your songs gave me so much strength through the words and meanings. You were for all of us no matter what race, culture or creed. It is unfair for someone like you to be taken away from us your family, friends and fans who love you. The people that did this will pay, as god watches all of us even in our deepest sleep. Lord-May Luke rest in peace. We love him and will miss him. From Valerie xx A fan in England.

"Lord it belongs not to my care whether i die or live;to love and serve thee is my share, and this thy grace must give".This is the song we must all sing to commemorate the death of our beloved friend who just left us untimely.we all have love ones but sometimes your enemies pretend to love you even though they hate you.No one thought lucky would die this way.it is too sad to believe this but it has already happened .we pray that the criminals will be arrested and also pray for his soul to rest in peace.lucky,da yie(farewell).
